The U23s are away at Burnley this evening in the Premier League Cup (Leyland FA Country Ground). I know some Carrier Bag Firm will be there. But I, unfortunately, won't be there. A good chance for the U23s to test themselves against a Cat 1 Academy. The Group Stage is a bit messy. Everton have already played 5. Burnley are bottom, but have only played 3.

First start for Freckleton isn’t it that will be interesting
First start as our player. He played v Peterborough as a trialist. Unusually, I did the full scouting report on him. Here

Osula is either injured or in match day squad tommorow or going out on loan. The latter two excite me as he very clearly has the raw ability and physical presence

Half time, Blades winning 1-0, Ayari the scorer.

Has the the Brazilian lad, Fernando Macedo, played in the u23's at all yet?

Not seen his name mentioned since he signed for us back in October.

It’s a good technique that penalty. When the keeper is jumping up and down /waving his arms about or whatever, you know to just keep it low and stick it in the corner.

Anyone heard anything about Arblaster after he got creamed it was a nasty tackle I hope he’s ok and he’s putting together a nice cv for himself
He carried on so hopefully it was just a bad landing. It was a really poor tackle and one which would probably have seen red had one of ours done it.

Seems to be something which isn’t really picked up on at youth level I know it’s about development so keeping players on the pitch is at the forefront of the mind but player protection has to come into it. When we played forest last year there were horrendous tackles flying in all game
