Winning 1-0. Were on the back foot for the opening 25 but scored a goal out of nothing then was all us for a bit. Been a good game.

I enjoyed that , good game , definitely an example of goals changing games , we on top after scoring , then Bournemouth after they scored with Blades finishing stronger after our 2nd ,,, really unlucky in the last second, the Bournemouth player leans into the ball with his arm , , should have been penalty

We never get any news about individual players in the Academy. More poor communication from the club.
Interesting that you think the club not sharing the medical history and personal circumstances of youngsters, some of whom are actually still classed as children, is poor communication.

Personally I think it's weird that you think you have any right to know that information.

Bit over the top there.

Asking if players are injured or out on loan as mentioned by the previous poster who I was responding to is not really 'weird'.

But, each to their own.

No, it is weird.

You seem to think the club should be sharing personal medical information about youngsters. If they were out on loan the club would have shared that information as they normally do.

There are various reasons a young player might not be involved in games, injuries, personal circumstances, have been informed they will be released at the end of the season, etc. None of those things need to be made public.

OK. We'll agree to disagree

If the player was a First Team player of the same age, his age wouldn't come into it. Many fans would want to know the circumstances of the First Team 17 year old wonderkid, would want them to be made public, and it wouldn't be thought of as "weird". I find the "age" argument disingenuous.

Just because many fans would want to know, it doesn’t make it any less weird that they think they have a right to know.

I would not be particularly fussed about being viewed as weird. That's where we're placing ourselves on the football fan spectrum isn't it?

Anoraks. Geeks. Obsessives. Saddos. Virgins. Trainspotters. Carrier Baggers. Weirdos.

Right to know?
There are often people on here saying we should be told more about injuries or why players aren’t involved, a while ago there were rumours one of our players was not in the squad because his partner was seriously ill and at least 1 person said we should be told exactly why he’s not in the squad.

When the club choose to protect the players privacy people often kick off that the “communication is crap” rather than crediting the club for protecting the players (especially the academy players) privacy people.

Those are the people who seem to have a sense of entitlement and believe they have a right to know everything about every player.
