Still no match report on the official site. What do these guys do all day? First match of the weekend against our local rivals - no report. But give them their due they have reported on the Women’s 5-2 defeat at Soton and our 3-3 draw. Even the Sheffield United Development Twitter feed didn’t state the scorers of our 4th and 5th goals in the u18s win. Grrr.

Us oldsters really want to know what is happening at youth level. We’ve seen the future arrive many times .. from Jones & Woodward, to Stainrod & Edwards and on to Billy Sharp and many more who’ve come thru the system to the first team. I really look forward to reading the match reports and I’m sure any other supporters do too. I just get fed up of waiting for them…

I've said before - United are well served with social media for both the Academy and the Women's team. And even the Academy Women's team. However, it's a one man band operation. The Social Media Admin guy was in Southampton on Friday, rather than Shirecliffe. So, they'll have had to bolt something together over time for the Official Site.

I'll allow myself to introduce a note of hard reality. The Official Report will say...
