I didn't see the starting line up last night but the u18s players that were strong at the start of the season have largely moved up to the 21s now or stopped playing for other reasons. The results in the 18s have been poor for a while, but I guess the point is them progressing up through the ranks and seeing so many in the 21s is a positive overall.

United's Under 18s fell to defeat in the final of the Professional Development League Cup on a night where the young Blades never managed to find top gear in York.

Should we expect fewer first teamers from this group?

Beattie has scored a lot of goals and Colechin made the first team squad once, while Sasnauskas has been praised by many. But it wasn't a promising team performance in this final.
