Plus our win against Brentford makes that a record equaling 8.
A win at Boro sets a new record.
7 wins between the 3-0 defeat at Crewe and the scoreless draw at Preston (next game we lost 2-0 at home to Wolves)Didn't we win loads in a row when we stormed to 7th from the relegation zone under Clough? I'm sure we won about 10 in a row or something.
The unbeaten record is about 5 games away too.
Bloody typical that we have to play Boro and Cardiff away now. It makes either record very hard.
But it's not impossible that we'll beat Boro. It's quite a good time to play them. Lot of expensive new signings and they've not had a great pre season. They won't have found their best balance yet.
Win on Wednesday then it is a record if we include cup matches
Yes, Nade. 7 league matches plus 3 FA Cup in 2013/14. I was wrong in thinking that beating Walsall would break the recordDidn't we win loads in a row when we stormed to 7th from the relegation zone under Clough? I'm sure we won about 10 in a row or something.

More chance of beating Barcelona than Walsall.Yes, Nade. 7 league matches plus 3 FA Cup in 2013/14. I was wrong in thinking that beating Walsall would break the record
I'm not sure about it being a good time to play Boro as you'd imagine Monk will be wanting a reaction after losing at Wolves. It will be a huge test for us no doubt especially our back 3 as their forward line is scary. I guess it'll be interesting to see how we can get on against one of the real big boys in regards to squad spending/value, just to see how big the gulf really is and where we stand. A point would be a great result, anything more and we might have a reason to start getting giddy. Joking, early days....
That's my main worry. Boro aren't going to need a second chance to stick one away with their strike force and that's the difference. We can't keep having to rely on Blackman to pull us out of it either. I think we'll create chances but i expect a more defensive minded performance this time out. Cut out the mistakes then maybe we can get a result but if not we could be in for a bit of a reality check. Big big test awaits. This sums up my thoughts. Great result at the weekend, but Saturday night, away from home against one of the title contenders is gonna be a whole different basket of strawberries. It's a big test for us.
If we make similar defensive mistakes as we did on Saturday, we'll concede a couple of goals. Brentford were toothless up front and there were a few times where I was surprised they didn't score. I'd expect Middlesbrough to be much more clinical.
