It worries me that we will probably hang around the bottom area all season and we know what happens when the pressure is on for any SUFC side. I would not be surprised if we went into the final day needed something to stay up. I have seen nothing to suggest this side can put a series of WINS together and despite recent improvements in form we have won 1 in 4 and lose when we play anyone decent. The fact we are scraping about with draws at Stevenage and trying to nick a point at Walsall says how poor we are.

I agree mate, but what all of this suggests is just how much work Nigel has between now and next season. This side are not made of what it takes to fight for promotion, regardless of the Tranmere game. I can only assume that there will be wholesale changes during the summer, with a lot of the current squad moved on while other, better players, take their places.

Patience is the key (I can already hear the calls for "How much longer do we have to be patient?"), but this is when NC will be judged on who he brings in, as we witness his team set about the task of actually achieving something at long last.
