success after success?

Any stattos/historians out there know of any occurrences of a successful season (whether it be promotion/europe/title) after a stalwart manager leaves? My gut feeling is they are few and far between, but i'd be intrigued to see what history tells us of our chances next season. One off the top of my head is Ranieri following Pearson's 4 year stint at Leicester

Wednesday finished 3rd under Francis after Big Ron fucked off. Although he did have the luxury of having the best team they've ever had and dismantled it a couple years later which is how they've ended up where they are.

Frank Clark did alright for Forest after Clough retired. Got them up to 3rd again and into Europe.
