I don't think it was our subs that was our undoing per ser. Prior to our subs Blackpool took off Yates and Bowler, two of their main attacking outlets, and they seemed to be ready to take the 0-0 draw. The goal then took it out of us. It came out of nowhere and was a total sucker punch.
All game up until the goal Blackpool created nothing.
They packed the midfield with their subs and our players stupidly kept trying to play it through an overcrowded midfield, instead of outwide, which had been the obvious place all game. Even before these subs there were times where Baldock and Stevens were outwide unmarked and Norwood and Fleck would either try to play it through the crowded middle, or play it backwards. Norwood didn't even look for them, he just got rid of it as soon as he had it, taking no responsibility for doing anything positive with it. On the occassions that he did send it wide to Baldock the pass was terrible and Baldock yelled at him to the extent that in the second half he held up 4 fingers whilst yelling at Norwood to tell him that was the 4th shite pass he'd sent to him. On the flip side every time Baldock did get the ball outwide the useless negative twat refused to cross the ball in, and fannied around with it where he went from being completely unmarked in a position to cross it in early, to allowing the defender to close him down where he lost the ball. It then made me wonder if Norwood's refusal to pass to him might be mistrust as he knows Baldock will just fuck it up.
Fleck, in his defence, more often than not kept the ball and actually ran at teams before laying it off for Ndiaye, Osborn or MGW. I thought Fleck was good today and nowhere near as bad as many made out.
