when I used to referee loved doing the under 8sPlayground style where you just run like a madman with your head down. Its reyt funny.
Ideally a flat back four with a couple of lads who can get it forward long and early to a big target man who puts himself about a bit. Have a smaller bloke playing just off him. Midfield composed of one hatchet man who keeps the oppo pinned back, a bloke who can shift it long from the middle of the park to the corner flags, and two wide men to bomb onto these balls and cross it first time into the 'mixer' for the target man.
We're playing better football now than under any of those three ,with a style that is an upgrade on division oneStyle suited to players available.
Weir and Adkins wanted premierstylelike football with third tier players...Wilson too, but he had better players.
