What do we do?

Back to the trusty Billy and Clarke combo?

Keep Leon and Brooks up there?

Donaldson and Billy?

Donaldson and Brooks?

Donaldson and Clarke?

Billy and Brooks?

Brooks in behind two of Billy, Clarke and Donaldson?

Options for days.

I'd go with Billy and Clarke, with Brooks in behind, Duffy to come on and play a part later on.

What is life?

All depends on whether Brooks scores three or four for Wales and how many more Yazoo drinks the club has to stump up for as a result.

Clarke stays in the team for a start.

Then Brooks and Duffy both deserve to stay in. But if Sharp's fully fit it will be a difficult decision.

So for now I'd say Clarke and Brooks with Duffy behind.

Then the issue is who to play in defence, especially with Stearman back. I don't want to see Wright dropped. Or Basham.

We're leaking goals again, so I would bring stearman back in with Basham and oconnall and maybe bring Moore back in as Black man hasn't made a decent save for a while.

Agree with all of the choices though not sure about the 'leaking goals'. It's what happens in front of them that gets hard.
I'd start Duffy - think side looks better balanced with him in. And I think he scored recently too? :D Leon's got to start and Billy add's that poacher's threat. Brooks is too dangerous to leave out & drags an extra defender to him leaving space for others. Donaldson on bench.

For me

Blackman
Baldock
Stevens
Stearman
Wright
O Connell
Fleck
Basham
Duffy
Brooks
Clarke

Half of them will be injured in mysterious training ground circumstances, seen in A+E,on crutches during the next two weeks.

Leon and David, Leon and Brooks, Leon and Brooksy, Clarkey and David, Clarkey and Brooks, Clarkey and Brooksy, Leon and Brookes with an e, Clarkey and Brookesy with an e, Clark with no e with Brookes with an e, Lon with no e with Brookes with an e, Len with no o, with Brooks with no e, and so on....

There isn’t a single one of the goals in recent games where I’ve thought to myself “Moore would have saved that”.

Sharp.

And A N other.

Sharp as the shoe in as he is our best striker. Or have folks forgotten this after 2 weeks out ?;)

UTB

PS pathetically consigned to the bench by the I know better brigade. You not learned your lesson yet ?

It's pretty obvious Billy is no where near fit because when we needed a goal on Saturday he still didn't bring him on which begs the question why have him on the bench in the first place?

I agree, he should start if fit and in form.

We have to compensate with the loss of Coutts against ipswich, so the midfield needs some thought.
Id push bash into the middle, with fleck, Brooks and Duffy.
Brooks playing the dane Whitehouse play where you like role.
Clarke has to start.
Stearman, joc and Wright is the next headache! !

Clarke and Brooks for me ,( 6 goals in 2 games with these 2 upfront ) with Duffy behind and Bash and Fleck in Mid

back 3, Wright , JOC and prob give CCV another go

wingbacks Stevens and Baldock /Freeman , happy with either-although Freeman is going through a bit of a goal drought for him!
him to start and score
2-1 blades ! Freeman and Clarke

Not sure how Duffy can be dropped I know he's not been getting the headlines like Duffy and Clarke but he has been class against wed and was our best player by a mile at forest Duffy behind Clarke and sharp for me

Given we are at home, as a one off I wonder if we could have Fleck, Duffy and Brooks behind Billy and Leon. Wilder is alm about going for the win.

Alternative seems to be Bash in midfield then you lose either one of Duffy, Brooks or Sharp and it seems it would be handy to have all three on the pitch at home.

If Stearman is back that’s a handy addition.

No room for sentiment in football- Clarke/Brooks been immense, start them.

Or could Brooks play the Coutts role ?

It's all about opinions mate. I'm not sure if Moore would have saved some of those goals either, but to me, Blackman has looked slow going down for low shots. He's good in the air, which at 6' 5" you might expect? but he's too easily beaten on the ground for my money. He goes down like a wounded buffalo. He's also pretty bloody dilatory all round. Some folks call it "laid back", I call it "almost comatosed". It's only a matter of time before his ultra-casual, non-urgent, dawdling about gets us into trouble.
