Admittedly haven't been to a lot of games post-lockdowns, but first half it was like an end of season game between two teams with nothing to play for. I noticed the players particularly MGW and Norwood trying to gee up the fans in the last 10 minutes. We should be encouraging the players vocally not the other way around as they were performing well enough on the pitch especially last 10 minutes as we were unlucky not to get a second. I never usually criticise the atmosphere but loads were leaving around me in South Stand from 83rd minute with the game and a play-off spot still in the balance.

I watched on ifollow with Cardiff commentary and they said united fans made loads of noise,so either thr united fans did and your ears aren't the best or they just aren't used to any atmosphere

Ha. True. We're never comfortable at 1.0. Strange game. Cardiff could have been 2 up after 15 minutes but offered nothing in the closing stages and we finished well on top.

I thought the atmosphere was decent. No home fans sing constantly and ours are louder than most.

First half there was no noise. Second half better, but it was nervy so maybe that affected it. I am comparing it to the Wilder promotion season maybe that's my mistake.

Nerves, scared, basically shitting it incase we fuck it up plays a massive part. Points in bag that’s all that matters now.

They must have positioned the microphones better because you could hear every chant from the kop on TV

Club is still recovering from that last season in the prem and the end of the wilder era where the club, players and fans were the closest they have been in decades (last season apart).

It’s hard to recover from that and re-ignite the spark that was there. I’d argue we haven’t yet found a new identity. It feels like we’re limping over the line rather than putting something together with a plan or idea longer term.

It’s hard to get behind that and performances of late have been dire.

It’s never a one way thing and the majority of people won’t blindly clap and cheer.

Was in the BLUT today as i have been for the majority of games this season (not the singing section, I can't find it) and the atmosphere was pretty good today compared to most games.

Atmosphere was decent from the halfway line, but thanks for trying to find a negative, on such a positive day 😖

We've spent 2 years fucking it all up. Going to take the fans a while to find the confidence again I think, I'm not as vocal at the home games I goto cos the people around me haven't been. Away support has had decent voice.

40k at Wembley will blow the roof off I'm sure....
