Foukes in an offside position doasnt really attack the ball,O'Connell wasn't to know that and tries a headed clearance which unsurprisingly due to the stretch he had to make was non conclusive and gives stoke man the freedom to control and shoot a good shot yes but how is this interpreted under the 2nd faze law .He put O'Connell under pressure just by being there , doasnt really matter now but it is something that maybe the law doasnt really cover.Theres no doubt O'Connell was very aware of Foukes s presence.

Both their goals shouldn't of ever happened. The first because like you say there was an offside, the second because Shawcross shouldn't of even been on the field after his save. In the end it didn't matter but imagine if Villa had got the 3 points against Norwich and those decisions cost us the title. Bring on VAR next year.
