…until we apparently reach the dizzy heights of ‘massive’. If you were wondering what deluded pigs think about as the abyss opens beneath their feet it is, of course, how massive they still are. This is taken from Porktalk a couple of weeks ago under the title of ‘what makes a big club?’ It was followed by a thread with a whole series of posters contrasting and comparing how they would place respective teams in terms of size perception. The vast majority saw no irony about their tin pot team in their tin pot division being up there with Citeh, Arsenal etc.

Just priceless humour, could this season get any better??!!

What makes a big club…I would base it something along the lines below with genuinely no bias:

Elite group

Liverpool
Man United
Spurs
Everton

Massive clubs

Arsenal
Man City
Villa
Wednesday
Newcastle
Leeds

Decent sized clubs

Chelsea
Sunderland
Wolves
Forest
Shef Utd
Norwich
West Ham

Think something that the owls fans who think like this don't grasp (most are actually down to earth!). Is that because you were once a big club doesn't mean you are forever. Also that some clubs get bigger too.

For instance take one example. Chelsea before Ambramovich were a big club. Their success has put them into a bigger status. They've won the PL 5 times since then, champs league twice, Europa League twice too. Their support could fill a bigger stadium now too.

So how are they below Wednesday? Or Leeds and Everton?

Let them have it, that's as close as they're going to get to City, Arsenal, Liverpool and even above Chelsea for a very very very very long time.

Club size dick swinging is about as classy as your mates trying to prove who has the cooler stuff and has more expendable income.

I genuinely cannot wrap my head around the fact that they, despite not being in the top tier for over 2 decades, consider themselves to be dining at the top table 😂

Anyway haven't they got two MASSIVE games against the mighty Accrington Stanley and Burton Albion to prepare for?
 
What else would you expect from pig fans they have been away from top flight football for 23 years and counting they are so out of touch it's untrue.

Remember 9/11 and what a big event it was? Ever felt really old to meet people in their twenties and think "That watershed moment in world history was before you were even born"?

Now remember Wednesday were last in the Premier League before that.

You need to be 23 or over to have lived through a Wednesday top flight match. 28ish to have any actual memory of it.
 

I’ve said this before many times but owlstalk posters genuinely show symptoms of delusion:

A delusion is an unshakable belief in something that’s untrue. The belief isn’t a part of the person’s culture or subculture, and almost everyone else knows this belief to be false.

These symptoms have intensified since Wilder took us from the pit of league one but, in truth, have probably been around since they got relegated from the PL nearly a 1/4 of a century or a generation ago.

They realise in their bellies that we are superior on and off the pitch, a well run club with recent comparable success (promotions, cup runs, PL campaigns) and they have had the square root of fuck all.

We’re hurting them bad and delusion can often lead to other serious things so I hope some of them are seeking support.
 
A rich owner with a good manager can change the course of history Man City were a yo-yo club before the Saudi investment as were Newcastle, Blackburn won the league with Jack Walkers millions they were planted in the middle of the championship before he bought the club.

Wednesday has their moment 30 years ago then through misspending and poor decisions things went bad we’ve had a similar scenario but fortunately we’ve managerEd to pull it around but imagine what a rich owner could do with us if we can get to the premiership on our own steam?

Quarter of a century since they had any relevance (am talking premier league here) enuff said.......
 
If support is their main criteria then they're nowhere near where they think they are. Sunderland in L1 regularly got 35-40k at home. Wednesday struggle to hit 25k even when they're doing well. This season they are below both Derby and Ipswich in average home attendances. It has bemused me for all my fifty years why they regard themselves in the same light as clubs who are simply much bigger than them. They've won little more than we have over the last one hundred years.
 
We are no where near the size of Chelsea or Sunderland the Pig got that wrong , we had the chance to buy them and then close them down , when Manderic got them for a couple of Million , and they failed to pay the Co-op 28 Million and few local Buisinesses . Then we could have been the Size of Newcastle .
 
wednesday are only a big club when theyve either got a top of the table clash like plymouth or a last game decider the 10k that turn up for those games are nowhere to be seen during the rest of the season just wish our fans would show a bit more enthusiasm in home games dont know whether its the style of football were playing or just nervousness about our position but its still not loud enough on matchdays at the lane

I don't even know where to start with that list. Literally all that's right is Man Utd and Liverpool.
 
West Ham average 62k a week and have got a very big history so they’d be certainly be in “massive club” category, think Everton are a bit high. Massive club in their own city maybe, but other than that it’s not too far off.

I've seen these pricks in action whilst a few of them have been on holiday in our golfing group.
We always say, "on holiday, no football talk"

But every night, there they are boring the shit out of a lone fan of another club about their massiveness

The lone fan just wants to curl up and die and fuck off so agrees with them for a second just so he can get away from the boring twats,

And that's it, good enough, a supporter of another club has confirmed it.

Probably why so many of them pose on the internet as fans of other clubs.

Then they'll say to the United fans in the group "Din't say it about United did he"

It's completely lost on them when we say, "because we didn't bore the shit out of him for the last hour"

To be so insecure about size tells me enough about them
