Today was never going to be easy, even without all the side issues. I, for one, am still confident that we will get the job done at BDTBL next week.
Keep the faith!

if we win on saturday the pigs have to win at brentford.. a draw is not good enough. we are still ahead .. what's the big deal. i don't know what is worse.. losing some of our points advantage or having to come on here and try and buck up some of the defeatist 'that's it nahr.. wiv dun it nahr' monkeys who appear after the occasional bad result

The issue being of course, that Wendy have first dibs on taking 2nd place from us.

They win at 3, and all the pressure is on us...

you're assuming they'll win.. interesting. .the pressure will be on them (playing first) because they 'have' to win.. it is all a matter of perspective.. with our fans it is always doom and gloom whereas the pigs.. to their credit? always expect to win.. we always expect to lose.. it gets on my wick tbh

Every time they have taken second spot by kicking of before us, we have taken it straight back, that's assuming they win. Keep the faith girls and boys, and keep the good karma flowing for The Blades. Today was always going to be a tough game, and anyway, we play far better football than the porkers. UTB!!

eh up tidza.. is everyone in bradda a pig.. i seem to be the only blade in town :D

I think the pressure can work both ways. They will also have pressure on them. They really do have to beat Brentford. Any other result leaves us well and truly in the driving seat. But, as you say, if they do win, the pressure transfers to us.

After the last 24 hours I think it isn't really any surprise that we lost. There was bound to be a psychological effect on the squad, and Wednesday were bound to get a boost. Shame Carlisle couldn't hang on for a couple more minutes.

I've been shell
shocked since the verdict so god knows what the players must feel like
Hope they get it out of the system before the promotion party next Saturday
See you all there I'll start the Mexican wave

Carlisle did well playing away from home with their two best players out injured if it wasn`t for the extended extra time they would have earned a good point.
Brentford will be a tougher match for them.

eh up super! it's the same in Tidza, pig to Blade ratio is very odd. Only know 3 other Blades in Tidza, but you can't go out the door without stepping on a pig!

Just home in Huddersfield, we were awful in the first half and marginally better in the second, it was like watching us play Burnley at wembley, I have to admit to being very pessimistic tonight.

Brentford are done for..out of it....unfortunately they wil not be hard for Wednesday to beat

They have kicked off before us THATS ALL - NEVER HAD 2ND SPOT.

Let them get within 1pt their pain will be only greater

Maybe when the Dust has settled, the team will show a togetherness and pull through to win the last two matches. I would much rather be in our position than theirs. We didn't play well today, though I think the MK Dons deserve credit because I thought they defended well and looked a threat going forward.

Next week will be very hard, as Stevenage will be well organised and are tough to beat (think we have probably lost more games than them), but it won't be easy for the Unwashed at Brentford. There are no easy matches at this stage.

UTB and Keep the Faith!

All.....you need to understand how really very poor we were today...McDonald and Doyle played well...he rest were poor...Quinn was awful...o'halloran and Flynn made a difference today....but that was not the performance of a team going up...they could have scored 5 today..hit the post 3 times a least....we could not cope with them a corners....Stevenage will be same....
And who the hell is going to score a goal??

Agree totally

Brentford are 5 points out of 6th with 6 points left to play for they will be hoping to beat the pigs while we help them by beating Stevenage.

I think you are being kind to McDonald and Doyle there... they had spells when they looked okay... but other than that were poor in and out of possession.

Lost count at how many times I had a go at them both for letting the man with the ball waltz past them only to stop and spectate as he continue on towards goal.

Disagree regarding McDonald I'm afraid, probably his worst game for us. The number of times he gave possession away, making no effort to try and win it back, was shocking for a player of his ability. If that were Hill, Quinny, Cresswell, Porter it wouldn't have gone unnoticed by so many.

The rest of your post sums up the day pretty well I think, a game to forget, as you say they could've had 5. Flynn has probably earned himself a start next week now, think O'Halloran will come in for a seemingly unfit Hoskins.

It's pant-cacking time.

It's not, I went today and I'm so disappointed, we weren't at the races, to mix metaphors.. I've admitted defeat, it will be league one again. I know I'll be called a purveyor of doom, but I'm really peed off after today

bad day at the office.. get over it.. we go again
someone queried me a couple of weeks ago why i keep my BDM ticket.. because we always get the shit end of the stick but we get up and go again
