Now the window is over and Derby have signed Thomas Ince and Jesse Lingard, could this signal the end for Jamie Ward? Maybe a cheeky loan bid? ;) Also Steve Davies looks like that will happen as Clough usually always gets his targets. Davies when I went to watch him At Rotherham V Blackpool looked V good. His movement was good and also looked like he was going score every time he got the ball. O'Grady looks like it was dead in the water but could we go down this path again?

Im not really that bothered about Jamie Ward, didn't rate him that highly when he was with us. Lots of pace, but his touch and finishing was often awful. He'll get a few goals, certainly, but i think he'd just be another quick, small striker/ winger. it looks like we have plenty in that category

A Chris O'Grady type player would be ideal to top things off, so if thats what Davies is like then why not.

How many players do we need! I think our second XI could compete in this league as well. Disappointed Collins didn't manage to find himself a club yesterday, I agree Basham and McEverley are far better but he is easily good enough to play for someone else in this league.

Think Collins was always going to be a loan because of wages.

Doubt Derby would let Ward go with Russlle currently out injured. If we're going to get a striker from Derby on loan it'll be Mason Bennett

Although Ward fits in to the right height profile for building a team that can't get on any rides at Alton Towers he's tainted to me for being a dick in the play off final when I hoped he'd save it for us. Again he came on as a sub at Leeds and proceeded to get sent off.

Really? I thought Ward was one of our best players.

Always looked a threat and scores goals but probably not as many as we would want him to.

We have got better players than Ward already in the squad. Would he better the team - No

Steve Davies would be a good signing , but his he 100% fit. If Mr Clough wants him and Blackpool is prepared to let him go , then he will be on his way to BDTBL. We do need to get someone in , to give Higdon a run for his money , and if it comes off , Davies might well be a better acquisition than COG.

Needs sorting sooner rather than later imo.

I was a fan of Evans and Ward , but from what Ive heard there is no way I would ever have Evans Ward or Yeates ever near this club again.

Go on Sitters, spill the beans....changing room bullies was it?

I thought his finishing was awful and his crossing worse! Reminded me of Michael Bridges/ Darren Huckerby plenty of pace, but take that away and you're left with very little. I'd rate Murphy much more highly than Ward

If he's not fit, he's nailed on for us then.

I have to agree why bring in another winger in ward, we need a goalscorer.

Ward would bring the average height of our team up though. Gerrim signed

When does loan window open?

I want to jump out of it :(

Perhaps it's just nostalgia talking, but I was always a big fan of Ward. Whenever he was chasing the ball down he had a look of pure rage on his face, like his life depended on it. Always fought for the team but was actually skillful as well.

Lost his mind in the play-off final but I don't think we'd have won even if he'd stayed on and it was a moment of reckless stupidity every player has from time to time, unfortunately it was just at a very crucial time.

Would love to see him back. I know everyone complains about our fan base's preoccupation with taking back old players, but Ward would surely be an improvement on what we have. He's done pretty well in a good Derby team as far as I know.

Wd do not need anymore dwarfs with dodgy hamstrings. Good player but relied on pace which I feel he had now lost, hopefully Done can be the man to make a Difference

He's certainly a muscular presence matt, let's hope he's exactly the type of disruptive element we've been missing.

I assume he'll begin with Done as his partner/foil?

As long as Freeman doesn't come on instead of McNulty or all hell will break loose ;)

He's right size though Swiss ;)
