Sky Sports has linked us with him. Seems like the transfer speculation game has already gone into overdrive. Ive only seen this guy play a couple of times and in the lower leagues. Seems ok but good enough for the Championship?

Anyone?

He's a centre half who can also play left back. Strong and pretty quick. Maybe worth picking up, but there are plenty of other defenders out of contract this summer who'd strengthen our squad.

Watched him against Bournemouth in March. I thought he looked a bit out of position at left back, uneasy when Feeney, a nippy winger, ran at him. Had a look at a Notts County forum, and their impression is that centre half is his best position. Some thought that he was their weak link in defence at left back, where his distribution is poor. He had a spell at centre half where he did well, but they don't think he's better than their first choice pairing.

Maybe he's worth picking up as a utility player in defence, but I doubt that he'll solve our left back problem.

I watched alot of that game. Can't say I remember him but I thought it was an excellent game.

What struck me was the ability of both County midfielders to keep possession and move the ball around the pitch with relative pace and purpose. There seemed to be alot of space on the pitch which makes life easier and both teams were attacking but I really enjoyed it. Not saying the players could cope in CCC but whatever system Notts were using it produced very decent entertainment - and results over 46 games.

Is Steve Cotterill someone you'd like to see in charge at the Lane? Serious question. Think he started his career looking like he'd be a top manager but his reputation has suffered in more recent years. Was strongly linked with the pigs wasn't he?

Yes, would be perfectly happy to give him a go.

I thought Neal Bishop looked a very strong and commanding central midfielder and Lee Hughes still looked a class above most at that level.
