I don't usually like to see ex players coming back. But in the case of stead I feel he has something still to prove at United. The way he was treated by Robson was unbelievable. This is a good shoat, shame he's gone to Bradford, were missing out.

Saw him recently for Oldham and he's nowhere near the player you remember at United. Didn't score in five for them it says in the article and looked more like a Div 2 or even top end Conference player sad to say - he was one of my favorites.

Not wanting to incur the wrath of Pinchy, but just noticed he's on the bench for Huddersfield tonight.

If you take the logic that we're looking for someone that can lead the line, link up the play, while chipping in with a few, doesn't he actually tick most of the boxes? We'll inevitably be looking at someone not currently first choice at their club if we're looking at the Championship.
