Most teams in the Premier League are bad. Even as far up as 4th some weekends!

Now I'm not remotely confident we will go up (despite a very decent crack at it under Hecky), but IF by some miracle we do...

Despite needing our own rebuild in the summer... the Prem doesn't actually have much to fear at the moment. I'd fancy a playoff winner to stay up.

We said that when we finished 5th.

Then we finished 20th.

Historically, play off/automatically promoted teams usually come straight back down.

There teams that could dismantle us by double figures, but also some beatable teams. Let’s focus on promotion first.

Hugely amusing, but a bit premature regards Everton going down I think
Don’t get me wrong, I think it will be a good thing for a traditional big club to taste life in the championship
They do have a game in hand over Burnley and probably an equal run in in terms of difficulty
Of course if Carlsberg did promotions/relegations, they would go down and we would go up and Calvert Lewin would come back home……
(We would need that billionaire investor by then though😀)

He can leave his shit dress sense in scouse land tho

The 8th - 17th Premier League teams are a way off the best. But also streets ahead of the Championship, especially in terms of depth of quality across the squad
Yes, and probably. But it wouldn't take too much to avoid relegation amongst that lot currently. Such a shame we dropped out the way we did.

A defeat for Leeds tomorrow and they are right back in the mix for relegation. I can see both Everton and Burnley doing enough to escape relegation at Leeds expense🤞
Someone mentioned their position to me recently: not been in bottom 3 for ages; look safe with a few games to go; 3 or 4 point gap.
Gave me a horrific (and then slightly hopeful) reminder of us in 2007.

Everton have won 8 in 32. I can't see them doing anything other than getting relegated at this point.

Don’t make me laugh we’re miles of most teams in the prem , we have just recently lost to Reading , we have McBurnie who wouldn’t get in my sons school team , we’re reliant on a 36 year old striker ( who is our savior ) , most our players can’t play 5 games without picking up an injury, and our best player is on loan , we’re way behind , and IF we somehow make it up , it will tell next season !
But it’s the only place to be for the cash and kudos.

And yet Fulham, who have absolutely pissed the league this season, will probably be relegated again from it next season.

It's not as easy as it looks, as we proved less than 12 months ago with practically the same team we've got now.

I do think that as we proved, maybe anywhere between 9th to 20th is up for grabs depending on management, tactics and recruitment. Yes, a number of teams have more money but those same teams are often saddled with underperforming high earners too.

It's far too early to be thinking like this. Though I would say Everton are due that relegation, it's just 30 years too late.

Decent crack at it …. Hecky …..That’s funny

Something will come along to save them at the expense of Burnley
I fear that too, but it wouldn't be easy for them to buy their safety again. There's so much money swishing around in the PL now that players don't need a suitcase full of cash. And one good thing about VAR is that it's made it much harder to bribe refs, because every match-changing decision will be scrutinised and changed if necessary.

We would have been hammered by any EPL team on Saturday. You get punished for errors. Almost every time. We'd have been 3 or 4 down by halftime.

The quality in the prem is another level, absolutely rediculous to say otherwise. You only have to look at Everton's squad to give context. If teams are struggling with players like Richarlison, Ali, Van da beek, Iwobi, Gray, Calvert Lewin, Townsend, Allan, El ghazi, Gordon, Delph then it’s a very strong league.

Give that lot a decent manager and see where they finish.

But they're an awful team. And most prem teams are terribly organised currently. That's my point.

Weakest Prem in recent times. Last time we got up we took advantage of a bad bunch and deserved to finish top 6 before project restart. I can definitely see Fulham and e.g. Forest staying up fairly comfortably.

Yes, changed by refs
They can decide a toenail is offside using VAR, or they can decide a toenail is not offside using VAR

They can decide a penalty, or no penalty, a red card, or no red card.

We suffered at the hands of VAR enough to know that they can make whatever decision they want, for who they want.
