Starting to look good...?

Quinny and Monty leaving could be the pivotal signings of our season IMHO.

Are there any clubs actualy interested in Monty?

Seems to be a lost soul lately and though not his fault, he's draining our resources, especially if Wilson thinks he has no real part to play in our season

If Monty went do we think that that would enable us to keep Quinn? Would it free up enough resources wage bill wise?

the jack in the box need a midfielder for there new season.
i asked darren,`the manager`if he`d be making an approach for him,he replied"rolf harris and his extra leg would do a better job than that c@@t!"
He is a wednesday fan though.

Clubs interested in Monty? Probably some. Clubs interested in Monty at current wage levels? 'Kall.

Whilst I fully understand and even defend his right to stick where he is on what he is on, he wants to be careful. Two years' worth of thumb twiddling may well mean he disappears off the radar this time next year when he become unemployed.

i dont think we should rely on the signings coming off-mcmahon,mumbaye ect..
The goalkeeper worries me,and the strikeforce.Porters a tryer, but like creswell,he`s unreliable and inconsistant in front of goal.Cofie will have the class im sure of that but something tells me DW will park him on the bench for most games.
Having the pleasure of KMAC is boost for the midfield but will quinn still be here to compliment him?,id hope so,he was looking good in this seamingly new role playing freely behind a faltering strikeforce.
Im hoping some new faces arrive because the starting 11 looks somewhat, average at best.
And like its already been mentioned,i believe teams like mk dons even donny have a better looking squad in terms of quality.
Time will tell.

I think that could be so true, sadly

I think the signing of McMahon will be a good one if it comes off, as will the signing of Schlupp.

What we forget is that we are still bound by the fair play rules and need to budget accordingly, having said that if Monty gets his act together last season, i can see him working well alongside K Mac in the middle of the park.

Who dropping out for Monty to be picked Brownie?

I'd rather have McAllister or Harriot on the bench, and Doyle starts the season.
Although I'd like one of the kids to step up and take Doyle on.

Whitehouse will take Doyle and Monty on for the role alongside KMac. I think Harriott will go out on loan. My worry is replacing Quinn as Tonne appears to be the only option and it debatable as to whether he is good enough to play at conference level let alone division one

IF that was to be a starting XI of ours, yes I'd be relatively happy. I'd have Howard in net though. Still not sure about giving Long the 1 jersey, he needs more experience (possibly a loan) but that would leave us without backup.

Porter up front doesn't fill me with confidence, but if it's all we've got, it's all we've got.

Fills me with dread!!

Could Cressy and Cofie form a similar partnership to the one that Cressy and Ched had last season? Would mean we don't have to start with Porter...

Yes but it does mean we have to play Cresswell. I have my fingers crossed that old Neil will get back into his old ways and buy 6 strikers for Weeds before the window shuts and Cresswell is on his list

I think there's zero chance of Warnock wanting Cresswell, and I don't think he wants Monty either. I fully expect those two to sit out their contracts even if they'll be stuck in the reserves.

Don't know why there's an assumption Cresswell won't figure. He'll be first choice I imagine, DW has consistently picked him, unlike Monty.

It's not an assumption, it's a wish for footballing and financial reasons that we get him a new club. To be fair Cresswell would have probably got more goals if Evans ever passed to him

Was Cresswell not consistently very good for us last year? Whether he's got another year left in him is debatable, but he was generally very reliable for us. If DW's plan is to have him alongside a more mobile striker next season I've got absolutely no problem with that.

Opinions will differ, but I think we should aim to have a striker who contributes more. A couple of goals in his last 22 matches means he will have to improve (not keep up his form) to convince me he should still be a first teamer.

Cresswell doesnt score enough goals to warrant being in the first 11.
Id hazard a guess that Porter & Cofie will be first choice next season with Cresswell & Philiskirk & Tonne as back up.

What will he be? 31. He won't care if he bangs around in League 2 with the money he has earned. He must be creaming £50k per week out of the club from the way some have been going on about him.

Maybe as of now but if he's looking to bring one or even two strikers in in the next couple of days things will be shaken up. It worries me though if we're going to go in with two loan strikers as we know what could happen in January.

The re-signing of Porter is still a strange one IMO.

May as well be a this level. He is one of the top two earners at the club currently, and will be taking up at least 3 current level wages out of the wage bill.

And then I don't have to eat my shit

For that, I'll keep my fingers crossed Porter sticks to his bench role for you.

I think Cressy would be first choice to start up front along side Cofie or Miller. He was fantastic with Ched last season and did a lot of the dirty work that went unnoticed.

Long
McMahon Maguire Collins Francois-Jean
Mampuya McDonald Doyle Quinn
Porter Cofie

Subs:
Howard
Westlake
McAllister
Whitehouse
Tønne
Miller
Shclupp

Was going well until we signed Hill. Still need another striker to replace Porter and Cresswell

Long is nowhere near good enough for the first team not even in Lg1. If Howard gets injured we need a replacement goalkeeper. Long needs to go out on loan. However, like last season no other team is going to risk playing a kid in net. I wish he were a s good as everyone would like him to be but the reality is that he has still got a lot to prove.

I've not seen anything of him yet that makes me certain he won't make a really good goalkeeper. Of our two current goalkeepers I hope he's the one with the biggest potential. I'd start with him and see what a run of games could do for his development. If errors make him lose confidence he should be replaced and preferably loaned out.

think cress will be a off the bench player for us next season...if we get shlupp or beavon.can see it being either of these two with cofie as our 1st choice front 2..if not porter/cofie imo.
