I would say Evans, Lowton & Williamson are better than Cofie, McMahon & Mampuya so top 2 could be difficult with that team.

We haven't even signed McMahon, Miller, Schlupp or Mampuya yet................

Are any teams going to be stronger than Charlton Wednesday,Huddersfield,us and MK from last season? I only see MK,possibly Swindon and Coventry as potentials to be above us...unless I am missing something obvious

You say that like we're likely to fail to sign these players! Like we have a history of cocking things like this up, or something...

I think we may be getting a little bit ahead of ourselves here lads...... 1 confirmed signing, 1 confirmed loan, 1 who's sister has a runaway gob on twatter, 1 on trial in Malta and 1 that is pure speculation, plus the good news that McD has finally decided he can't get more cash elsewhere and suddenly we are world beaters. Sounding like pig fans ffs.

I remember one day in Summer on the Eve of our relegation Season, most of the Internet seemed convinced we were on the verge of signing both Andrew Surman and Sylvain Ebanks-Blake. So yep, we've got form with the whole "carried away" thing.

There were also plenty of fans this time last season who didnt have Ched scoring too many goals.

PS Danny ain't done yet.

IRONY!!!

I think we' ll have at least one player with 20 plus goals this season.

Worry not - it all sounds the same on Soccer Saturday.

Wish I fucking was listening to your pansyass whingeing , grow some bollox man

you mean your NOT drunk ??? has the local off license sold out of white lightning or maybe trading standards stopped your supply of acetone/vodka mix tut tut tut looks like anger management classes for you fella LMFAO.

IF, and thats a big IF we sign even a couple of those players, i would imagine we should be in with a shout of the top 6 at least.

IF that was to be a starting XI of ours, yes I'd be relatively happy. I'd have Howard in net though. Still not sure about giving Long the 1 jersey, he needs more experience (possibly a loan) but that would leave us without backup.

Porter up front doesn't fill me with confidence, but if it's all we've got, it's all we've got.

I'd agree. Obviously there'll be a team that 'comes from nowhere' but I think to not finish in the top six would be unforgivable.

This will be 'Danny's team' (OK, he's inherited some, but has had time to replace/move on any he doesn't fancy) and now it's up to him.

i dont think we should rely on the signings coming off-mcmahon,mumbaye ect..
The goalkeeper worries me,and the strikeforce.Porters a tryer, but like creswell,he`s unreliable and inconsistant in front of goal.Cofie will have the class im sure of that but something tells me DW will park him on the bench for most games.
Having the pleasure of KMAC is boost for the midfield but will quinn still be here to compliment him?,id hope so,he was looking good in this seamingly new role playing freely behind a faltering strikeforce.
Im hoping some new faces arrive because the starting 11 looks somewhat, average at best.
And like its already been mentioned,i believe teams like mk dons even donny have a better looking squad in terms of quality.
Time will tell.

Coventry? Where the hell has this come from? They are bankrupt and all over the shop. They were truly awful last year and are busted. Swindon? Has it come to this? Moneybags Swindon town? I think you may find they will be happy to bob along mid table for a first season, and Di Canio is due to have his bi-annual implosion.

We should fear no one but respect those who ran us close last season. Actually with the exception of those who finished above us, no one did run us close. We aren't as strong as yet but perhaps the whole will be greater than the sum of the parts. I see DW as building a better TEAM. This is critical. Yes we have to cut wages but he is making all the right moves and I have no issue with anything he has done since his arrival. Much still to come before we kick off.

Coventry have had their transfer embargo lifted so they won't be in limbo like Portsmouth. Swindon have got money to spend and I think may be the 'Stevenage' of this coming season.

I am not sure about us better team than last season especially as I believe we will lose Quinn to the championship however I think the top 5 last season were easily championship standard. I don't think we will need to be as good this season to go up

90 points will win the league easily this season.
Its not as strong this season.
But neither are we.yet

I've just got a good feeling about Cofie. Having come through the Man. U system, he'll be no mug. The other year Frazier Campbell was in a similar position and he practically promoted Hull single-handed. Similarly, Kieran Richardson - who couldn't hack it at Man. U - is a good, solid PL pro. Danny Rose (Spurs) is similar. He looked off the pace against Senegal t'other night but is nobody's fool.

Over to you, John. And no pressure. :D

Quinny and Monty leaving could be the pivotal signings of our season IMHO.

If the Quinn to Leeds rumours are true, we really should insist that they take Monty as part of the deal. That way, while losing Quinn would be a bit of a blow we'd at least have a lot more wage flexibility to look at a half-decent replacement.

Doncaster and Coventry might have as much or better in terms of quality, but that means nowt if you've got a poor manager, which I believe that both of these clubs have. If United go up automatically this season it will be with fake Wimbledon because I cannot see past them for a top 2 finish. We have a good chance gav, because this league IS poor.
