Well whats the best option for an AMBITIOUS club like SUFC , on paper SUFC appear to have a good squad on the pitch SUFC are poor and thats kind.

How far SUFC have gone backwards from last season is frightening..........except the wage bill.

So what to do for next season, big clearout and start again or a bit of tinkering ?

Surely given our league position the first thing we do is give the new manager time to see if he can influence how individual players and the team perform. Your's is more a qustion for the summer not now.

Ah well i've always been told to plan well ahead and avert problems and the Blades have got plenty..................

difficult to do so here really though isn't it? Anyone can say 'Oh yeah, Tongey's playing like a twat let's sell him in the summer'. But what if he plays a stormer for the rest of the season?

Best plan, for me, seems to be to support the team til the end of the season, then make any decisions and form any opinions about who should be staying, going and coming.

The remaining games will be a useful way to evaluate our current players. If they do well, they stay, if they don't then au revoir.

I did do German though as well as French in my GCSE's and got an A in both. :)

I did German. Mainly on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, watching all the great tutorial films. From such educational fare as The Great Escape, Escape From Colditz, A Bridge Too Far and their ilk I am now as fluent as I need to be, as the following phrases will demonstrate.

Hande hoche - Hands up.
Achtung Spitfire - Look out, a Spitfire.
For you, Tommy, zer var is ohfer - We will be surrendering soon. Please be nice.
Good luck - Hey, weren't you in the Professionals?

I have a German aunty who makes great scones.

I know this makes no sense to the thread but i'm old and don't give a buggery!

:p
