The Bees have made their second signing of the day and their tenth of the close season when they announced that Sheffield United right back Ben Starosta has signed on loan until January.
Starosta, 20, hails from Sheffield but is a current Polish U-20 international, recently playing in the U-20 World Cup. He qualifies for Poland through his grandfather who settled in England after the Second World War.
He initially began his career as a winger but has successfully converted to full back. He is yet to make his debut for the Blades but did, however, spend a short spell on loan at Tamworth last season where he made 4 appearances for the conference side. He has been training with the Bees recently and played in the friendlies against Reading and Chelsea.
Starosta becomes manager Terry Butcher’s third loan signing following the capture of left back Grant Basey and midfielder Sammy Moore from Charlton and Ipswich respectively.
