No emigration over the centuries , to other port city’s, hence why the affinity to Celtic and Liverpool
Not to forget both Hibs / Celtic and the two Hun clubs being set up by Irish immigrants
Nar mind Cahill now UK 🇬🇧 has got Brexit done
Ya can fuck out all those pesky immigrants now
Ohh and I did the reverse journey of Sheffield to Dublin ( where my Irish son follows Dem Blades )

The founders of Rangers were all Scottish born.

Actually dublin, i chose those clubs because they are historically Britain's most successful clubs not because they have any specific Irish affiliation, it's only on reflection, that I recognised that, although the OF are obvious.

I was responding to a point made by roy that Colin Murray "gets" the " romance" of the English football league, and I pointed out that as a Liverpool fan without a geographical link to that place he doesn't " get" it that much, otherwise he could have perhaps chosen Tranmere for instance.
As for the Brexiteer dig, you can fuck that right off, as someone who spends half his life in France speaks French and has a French flag as his avatar I'd hardly be a little Englander now would I ?
In my job ( about 20 )
4 are Liverpool fans
1 Arsenal fan
3 manure fans
And 1 ,100% Blade ,
I take on board what you say about Colin Murry, but as far as I’m concerned he’s free to support whoever he wants , I don’t think he comes across as condescending in his views , he turned down a job relating to Sky / murdoch because of the scum newspaper and it’s post Hillsborough attacks on Pool fans
I’ve watched him on TV and he comes across as a person who takes pleasure in promoting other teams and there achievements ,
No offense meant by the Brexiteer jibe , but on initial reading of your post it did come across as a “ what’s this paddy on about “
No offense intended Cahill

Cross purposes then because it wasn't his Irishness I was referring to but Roy's comment about him, (;see above). As for who he "supports" I couldn't care less. By the way i'm biologically 100% Irish, just not of the plastic variety, Yorkshire and British by birth and probably 45% culturally French

Then I Took your post up the wrong way Cahill , sorry about that
Enjoy your French cuisine ( frog legs what’s that all about ) the snails 🐌 and horse meat 🥩 I’ve had and don’t have an issue with it but can’t get my head around them

As I said, it was a big six and, in addition to those you mentioned, included Spurs and Villa, who were both big clubs in the 80s.

We were both wrong according to this article, which mentions the 'Big 5' (Manyoo, Liverpool, Everton, Arsenal and Spurs):-

United are mentioned for our current position, but hilariously the article goes on to conclude:

"Leicester, Wolves, Everton and possibly Newcastle and Aston Villa have got most of the building blocks needed to make the 2020s potentially the most egalitarian decade since the 1960s, when Burnley, Spurs, Ipswich, Everton, Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and Leeds all won league titles. "

Would that be the same Aston Villa who look odds on to be relegated?

Different era. I was talking about the early eighties, when Villa had won the European Cup. But it was just a tabloid construct, there isn’t a legal definition. It’s like trying to define ‘big club’.
Given the part of the article you quoted, I don’t think it can be considered gospel.

Just given us a big hug on his column(stop giggling at the back).
He had us to finish bottom and he says "I couldn't see where the quality was going to come from. Wilder and his men found it in abundance though and proved me wrong, and I couldn't be more delighted for them".
He also has JOC in his team of the season too and in a separate part of the article admired how well us, Liverpool, Man City and Wolves have tallied the physical and mental aspects of the Premier League better than the rest.
I for one am glad we've won one more pundit over.
So Stan Collymore, Columist and still a wanker.
Just not as much as he was before.
