For those of you who remember my (half-joking) post last November about celebrating that point in the season when we must finish higher than Wendy, I'm pleased to say that St Woedin's Day this year falls today, April 10th. It was generally felt by those who posted that we should not be gloating or triumphal - that kind of behaviour is more fitting of our rivals from S6. So I'll be having a quiet chuckle to myself tonight...and looking forward to the moans of anguish from across the city. Up the Blades - and onward to the battles for the rest of the season!

St Wendy’s day you mean?:)
Well, there were several suggestions at the time and I liked St Woedin's Day - can't remember who came up with it - because "Woedin's Day" sounds like Wednesday and it's got the element of failure/grief in it (woe), as does St Totteringham's Day which Arsenal fans use about Spurs (not this season, obviously). My own thought was St Wane's Day.

Whatever - it means the Fowls have ballsed it up and we are easily the top team in S. Yorks (and N. Derbys) again.

However this season ends for us, it is wonderful to return to our rightful place above the massives. All their pre-season grunting about how quickly we'd get relegated, how far behind them we'd be etc etc etc - stick that in your snouts and smoke it piggies.

This city is ours (it always has been really, they just borrowed it for a bit while we were in L1).
