Squinny Signs......

Jury is still out for me on Squinny, occasional flashes of brilliance but extremely frustrating the rest of the time. Hopefully he will come on with Ertl & Britton around him.

I'm a Quinny fan. He's a good team player and always gives 100%. I watched him against Estudiantes and to say he'd not played due to his toe operation he did well. If he had a yard more pace we would be hard pressed to hang on to him. Good business by United.

I appreciate Quinn in regards to being a squad player and a decent option, it was always Blackwell's reluctance to drop/rest/sub him during his more indifferent spells shall we say that caused frustration, I don't consider this good news as such but its certainly not bad.

This is a key point with Quinn, I think. He has never struck me as someone who is suited to the rigours of playing every game in a tough position. He faded in his first season after an excellent start, and the pattern has been repeated in other years. He's someone that needs resting when he's on a bad run, not someone who should be playing through it. I reckon if he played 30 odd games rather than 40 odd games his average performance would improve.

christ on a bike.. i missed the prem season through illness (typical) and my mates 'insist' he is a good player.. perhaps he is.. i've never seen it.
