I'd have preferred to see

1. Long
2. Brayford
3. Hussey
4. Basham
5. O Connell
6. Wilson
7. Duffy
8. Fleck
9. Sharp
10. Clarke
11. Done/Adams.


I know it doesn't actually matter in the grand scheme of things, just my personal preference.

I agree on the Basham #4 and a CB at #6

I think Duffy is attached to #21 now. He had it last season at Burton so will have been happy enough with that. I think McNulty would've been after #9 but they gave that to Adams. Had he already been sold, I think Clarke or McNulty would've taken it.

So you think Scougall will start just cause he has a low squad number?

No, but I think it's not meaningless – it's a statement from CW that he has faith in Scougall and sees him as an important member of the squad.
If he had handed Scoogs, say, No 35, do you think that would send out the same message?
