I don't understand what we've been doing with our squad the last couple of season. I really don't.

It was square pegs in round holes last season and it's just got worse.

Godrey aside, all our fullbacks are wingbacks. Seriki. Burrows. McCallum. RND.

We currently have two fit midfield players (Peck/Soumare) with two constant sicknotes and Ollie. There's no cover if we play 2 in the middle but we're playing 3 with just one of them.

We have 2 AMs (Hamer and O'Hare) though we've never played with an AM (Does anyone else think that O'Hare would be perfect in the Duffy role?)

We have Cannon and Campbell upfront. Neither seem to be good enough as a loan striker (yes, Campbell got goals last season but his around game is not great) and yet we have no one to play next to either of them.

We have no height. The only person who claims to be tall is Bidnon and someone has made up wikipedia height. And yet me try and defend as if we have height but also booy long balls to forwards who can't win headers or one-on-one strength battles.

We're apparently meant to be a pressing team without the players or will to do it.

The whole thing is a mess at the moment. Not sure any manager in the world is getting this squad into the play-offs without reinforcements.

With the players we have, this is the obvious formation

-----------------------------------------Cooper(Davies)
------------------------Bindon/Godfrey-----Mee/Tanganga/Bindon------Robbo/Z
-----Seirki/Godfrey----------------------------------------------------------Burrows/McCallum
----------------------------------Peck--------------------Soumare
---------------------Hamer/Brooks----------------------------------Barry/O'Hare
----------------------------------------Campbell/Cannon/One

Use the wingbacks for width. Allow the players behind the striker freedom. Peck and Soumare sit deep.

We need at least another midfielder and a CB to do it. Also a tall CF who can hold a ball up.

Our owners seem obsessed with buying trafficked fucking wingers though

For all the recent flurry of rumours and possible signings - and the recruits are welcomed/needed - Godfrey is a loanee with limited game time, Mee is a steady old head, Nils is one for the future. The only guaranteed starter would be Tanganga. You have to look at our squad and ask a) who is an improvement on last season and b) who would other sides in the division love to have in their XI?

I guess the answer there, at the moment, would be Cooper, Hamer and maybe O'Hare.

I think most of our players would be snapped up by championship clubs.

I think our problem is that our squad is a collection of random players, not a squad of players which compliment each other. Look at last season. Wilder regularly played players out of position and not playing to their strengths. If we're ever going to be successful, we need a team who all play well together, no a disparate bunch of talented footballers.
