We are 9-1 at home in this seasons COC against decent Championship & Premier League opposition.

2-0 seems a reasonable punt but personally i would love to finish the tie off but any Yid knows Spurs can spectacularly snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in any game. Dont think it will be Wednesday's though.

I think it showsthat the author has underlying level of complacency he/she is trying hard to supress.

In fairness it would be hard not to in your position.

I would take a 2 goal defeat now because one goal back in the second leg would give us one hell of game and there is no doubt that it could be a lot worse for us.

2 goals adrift would be tie done & dusted IMHO - we don't score that many to turn it around
We have scored 3 goals on only a couple of occasions this season (Col U and Plymouth are two of the worst teams we have faced - QPR result was a real bonus and a great performance) so if we think we can score 2 without reply against a team like Spurs and win on pens that that seems v unlikely to me too - keeping a clean sheet against Spurs at home whilst chasing 2 goals just doesn't appear realistic.

If we are one adrift then that could be overturned if we get all the luck going. It'll certainly keep the tie alive for the home leg, which is the best we can hope for - that we still have a chance on our own turf. It's doable but it aint going to be easy.

It's either gonna be a thrashing 4,5-0 or 2-1!(yids) regardless, having 4,200 away fans it should be a cracking atmosphere (unlike the library or chavs)

How come we got an extra 1,500 tickets for the 2nd leg?

Because your coming to a proper ground

have you lot sold out yet, at home that is, heard a couple of weeks ago that you only sold 14,000, what does your stadium hold, is it 32,000?

Am I still on a Blades forum here?

I'm actually feeling confused about a two-legged tie. I can only remember seeing us at home in a second leg game twice (Forest 2003 and Stevenage 2012), both ties were level from the first game and there was no away goals rule, so both were effectively one-off knock out games at the Lane.

I'll be doing mental sums and checking the rules every five minutes next week.

Preston in 2009, Halford's header.

There's about 23,000 sold already and if we get some sort of result tonight we will sellout tommorow or Friday at the latest.

Feel we'll be finished after this leg, hopefully not but if Spurs turn up then it will be a very tough night. If it was a one leg 2nd round we'd have a chance but Spurs know what there gonna be up against after our recent exploits, but footballs football and it's not played on paper....

Liverpool semi was two legged - we did them 1-0 at Lane, lost 2-0 in extra time at Anfield. Liverpool goalie should have been sent of in 88th min for handling outside the box. We missed the free kick.

2-1 at the Lane.

Yes, there have been plenty of other two legged ties where I didn't attend the second leg (most being away), some where away goals rule was employed.

Higdon on the bench, Spurs are fucked if he gets on.

It'll be sold out... it'll be a good night... place will be bouncing at both ends... seems ideally set up really.
