We will if we don't make the most of our chances and attacking opportunities. Time and time again that cutting edge is missing, we should have been 3-0 up in first half.

Entire midfield was excellent berge is miles better at RCM and ampadu has to start from now on

Yes I’ve said before the Liverpool game was all about the performance and not necessarily the result. Running Liverpool so close can only instil confidence into this group of players going forward.

Was a very good performance just not getting the rub with the rebounds reflections. The ball never falls in our favour. They didn't deserve their equaliser just before half time.. thought it was offside after mane headed it firming was off

Correct, you ain’t gonna win em all, and against the reigning prem, champs league and world champions is a good performance if not result
Was worried we would be on the receiving end of the backlash from their fluke Villa result
CWs end of game talk is easy, do that level of performance for the next 30 matches or so and your premier league players next season
Don’t have an issue been beaten when you give it a go.
Their keeper is worth more than our 11starters cost, let that sink in....

Agreed. But he still needs to up his fitness - too many games where he is totally dominant first half but is out of steam by 70mins. He also needs to be played RM - and now,,as Norwood has real competition from Ampadu, he hopefully will do.

The other consolation is that that was a far better performance at Anfield than last season when we were totally outclassed when we decided to sit in against them. I know it was a free hit, but we went for it tonight right from the start and need to do that more often to make sure confidence doesn’t disappear (and we don't forget how to play as we can) particularly in the next couple of games.

Yeah my sentiments exactly. I really thought it was going to be attack versus defence. But we asked Liverpool plenty of questions and in the end it all came down to finishing.
