Twat, I was just dropping off.Madine.
Boooooooo!
Lots of teams in our own division think we are lucky, in a false position etc
If we are mid table in the Prem next year (humour me) then teams like QPR, BC, Ipswich etc will still think we are frauds and they are better
I’ve seen it suggested on Twitter by a handful of Wednesdayites that this season the championship is poorer than it has been for years, and if they had their play off galaticos side with Carlos at the helm they would be up no question.
The simple fact is we are where we are on merit, and we have got a fucking good side, with some fucking good players. I don’t think many outsiders can grasp that.
Spot on Brownie. Let's just keep hoping that by the time the media and other clubs realise this, it's too lateI’ve seen it suggested on Twitter by a handful of Wednesdayites that this season the championship is poorer than it has been for years, and if they had their play off galaticos side with Carlos at the helm they would be up no question.

I fuckin agree with youI’ve seen it suggested on Twitter by a handful of Wednesdayites that this season the championship is poorer than it has been for years, and if they had their play off galaticos side with Carlos at the helm they would be up no question.

FFS - no we are not overachieving
Buying and paying for £40K per week footballers proves absolutely jack shit - there are numerous examples all over the Championship.
You may actually have a better chance with £40K players but that still doesn't mean they WILL achieve anything.
Our 1st or A team is achieving exactly what they are capable of and we nearly proved that last year as well.
Anyone can say therefore say that Bournemouth are 10 times overachieving - they are where they are on merit and so are we.

The Brentford fans dismissed both O'Connell & Egan as being not good enough to get in their first team!I’ll give an example of what these people mean.
All our fans are convinced that Madine is this effective big physical lump who is good at heading
But what if when he plays for us he shows Messi-esque control, shows great intelligence setting up Sharp and scores a few worldies himself.
Would we say that Madine is over achieving?
Of course we would otherwise why has Madine never at anytime showed signs of PL quality in the past.?
Suppose if a player can suddenly produce high quality then it must always have been there
But it does seem weird how many of our players are playing their best/ highest quality football of their long careers.
The Birmingham and Burton fans don’t know whether to laugh or cry when they see how good Duffy is for us. The Wolves fans laugh in disbelief at how good Leon Clarke has been for us. The Coventry fans thought that Fleck was potentially a decent league 1 player but no better. Sharp was always seen as a coup (good signing) at league 1 level but not up to the Championship standard. The MK Dons fans said Baldock was great going forward but simply can’t defend.
Nicely put.Agree with Southall, technically SU are over achieving.
But normally the implication of the word “over achieving” suggests it’s temporary and won’t last.
The suggestion is that by some weird quirk of luck we have so many players that happen to be in the best form of their lives.
However I don’t think luck has anything to do with it
Wilder has managed to play to each players strengths and he has them so well drilled as a team so every single player (cog) knows their role within the team (machine). He’s also developed positivity and fantastic team spirit where players genuinely believe they can achieve.
The mistake outsiders are making is they are not aware of the reason why our players are over achieving and assume it’s down to a temporary peak in form so it must end sooner or later. However I believe Wilder deserves huge credit for setting up a system and environment where the players are thriving and logic suggests that the overachieving is not temporary and can continue all season.

We're still the Dog and Duck, poncing around in La Liga.
What Wendies fail to understand, is that the season they had their 'galacticos', they stumbled across the line. The were poor often and dropped points, yet everyone else around them dropped points too. It was competitive back then, anyone could beat anyone just like it is today.
The difference being, they have stumbled along for 3 seasons now treading water with the same players 3 years older and 3 years slower.
They can't stand how they've failed.
Back in our promotion season I said that Wilder would be widely credited with a revolutionary style of football, people whispered it first(except us)
and some pundits, managers and fans are proper taking notice now but if we reach the prem and manage to stay there
the elephant in the room will be wearing red and white stripes and be impossible not to spot. When it all kicks off I hope we can match
Wilders ambition by giving him a few bob because someone undoubtedly will however I do love the fact that he’s torn the rule book up
when it comes to achievement without big names and big money.
Up the revolution!
