If we’ve sold COH, and used the money to fund Souttar the entire recruitment staff need sending to a North Korean gulag. We’ll have sold all of our attacking intentions, and replaced them with out and out defensive players. Where’s the goals coming from?

The same poster put the eyes on the McBurnie thread a few weeks ago so I wouldn't get too het up about it.

I told you the eyes were bollocks. It's clearly what this poster does for fun.

It’s been pretty obvious for a while now that he wasn’t coming, this phantom bid that’s been left is absolute waffle.

It was absolute bollocks. Or if it wasn’t, it was a derisory offer which was obviously going to be rejected.

Why on earth would the money available to buy Souttar, seemingly only be available for him and nobody else.

Once it became obvious that Leicester weren’t going to accept that ‘offer’ and that we had identified other options, why wasn’t that mythical money available for an attacking midfielder that anyone with eyes in their head could see we needed desperately.

Don't think Souttar was ever going to happen, wilder would advise Bettis don't tell the fans it's not happening as they'll not like it

Player thought it was done, Wilder thought it was done - I’d suggest our owners having pulled the plug on investing any funds into the playing side of the club is the reason this did not get done.
thanks for that irv leicester playing hardball didnt help either

I suppose the next thing to consider is seeing if there is interest in Tanganaga in January for at least what we paid for him. Then replace him with Souttar on a longer deal.

For a club that doesn’t want to let players run their contract down, Tanganga didn’t sign an especially long deal, so he’s got about 18 months to run in January.

I would hope by January we will know our financial situation a bit better. We will either be up shit creek and everyone is for sale, have a new investor so would not necessarily need to sell to buy, or the owners would have a clearer idea if they are on the hook for the 35mill to PA.

I anticipate that Souttar’s asking price will drop significantly as Leicester’s financial issues start to bite.

Personally, I think Tanganga will improve with Kitching alongside him- looks his best with a big physical presence as a partner (see Jake Cooper at Millwall) so I’d be loath to sell.
