I'd be lying if I said I was confident that we do, but I'd also like to think we're professional enough to understand that if we're so keen to spend so much in our current financial position on a CB, we're already considering other options as surely to spend so much means we believe we need strengthening in that area.

Baptiste is another one that most United fans know nothing about and so far his highest 1st team standard is Rotherham who were relegated from L1.

I’m not saying he’ll not eventually be a good player, but I’m not sure where the optimism comes from that he should be a starter.

He struggled quite a lot against Bochum. McGuinness to start for me until we get an upgrade

Great, but they made it abundantly clear they weren't going to accept our offers and we'd have to go higher. At that point, you look elsewhere and you wait for them to come back to you if other offers don't materialise
