Not only were they dogshit (there was a reason they were available so close to the transfer deadline), but they were ridiculously overpriced, expensive dogshit. Can we at least get this fact right, please?

The better value deals are always nearer the window end...(said the previous Blades owner).... well we certainly debunked that theory pretty emphatically.

Or repeat what we did last summer & mess around trying to negotiate lower fees for quality players and then panic at the end of the window because you’ve missed all your no 1 targets and so spend big fees on dross!!!! The latter is far worse as you then have players that have no resale value and are equally financially fucked!!!

Maybe if we focused on buying and developing young players rather than washed cloggers on the way down then we’d have assets we could trade easier to fund new purchases?

The fact we can’t shift any of our better players for a decent fee speaks volumes about the quality of our squad building.

We seemed to shift Brookes easily enough and quickly - but then quite a few moaned about that.
Also Hamer looks like he could be sold - but again, quite a few moans.
