If Wilder gets 92 points again next season would you view that as a success.
Bearing in mind that would have got us automatic promotion last season?

PA got 90 points.
I'd be more than happy for Wilder to succeed - I'd be absolutely thrilled with it

But that doesn't mean he isn't immune from criticism for that season and the collapse he caused

Why the delay in announcing if already done? Start of the next calendar month over the weekend?

The fact that he referred to here as a cesspit and monetized a footballers death should discount him as someone anyone pays affection to imo 🤷‍♂️
It is his job now to create United content. George dying was horrendous.. but it was United news. I dont pay a penny for his videos, and I never would, but he's the best SUFC channel nowadays and I do enjoy driving with his videos on in the background.
Also, we are a bit of a cesspit at times 😅

Making content is one thing - he livestreamed immediately after, before the club or his family had confirmed it

He's only a fan. It's like saying we couldn't talk about it, phone or message our mates, panic to our family etc before the club came out and made a statement.
Its weird, I'd never do it (and his latest video broke off to an advertisement- read by himself- before dropping his "final announcement" which made me throw up a little) but its the modern world mate. It's a job I didn't even know existed until a few years ago.

My point is, it's nice to have Blades chat when you're surrounded by none football fans every day AND as cringey/annoying/distasteful as some of his decisions might be, it doesn't make him any less reliable.

I've never paid Blades Ramble a penny but I enjoy their content. Sometimes id rather hear news from them with some opinions included than read it on a news site. If you can make money from something you love doing then good luck. Don't like, don't listen. He is very popular.....

Agree, he’s not just a fan. Can’t abide him & the “quality” of his content is plain awful. I really don’t understand how anyone watches the drivel he spouts / shouts. Callum Fowler & Benjamin Bloom both decent, entertaining & knowledgeable content providers, so there are far better ways to operate in that “space”. He’s like the gutter press of the genre.

So you wholeheartedly believe that Brewster at the time was a better signing snd player than either Osihmen or David?

Mate - the sandwich press conference became a meme. It's permanently associated with Wilder and made him a joke.

"Neck and neck with 2 teams" that beat us every time we played them. And then when we had the advantage in the run in, Wilder played negative, shite football leading us to be completely out of the race. He then fucked the final up with the same tactics. But we should just be happy to be there, right?

"He really uses the youth": He used Peck and Arblaster because he had to, not because he wanted to. We'll never know if Curtis is ready because he never gets a sniff, same with the AI lads.

"One might not be ready" helped get a team promoted last season. Other clubs see something in him, so there's a talent there as CW let's him rot on our bench? Didn't even get a minute in friendlies we were comfortably winning ffs, but you think CW can develop youth when he has the choice to? Hell, you use Andre Brooks as an example - you mean the player CW would go after game after game and criticise? That really helps players, publicly shitting on them week in week out.

But aye, I should be greatful because he's succeeded twice and then fucked up continually since - really grateful.

You know you can enjoy the good and be critical, right?
Looking back on it, yes Jonathan David and Victor Osimhen would have been better signings than Brewster, but that was from 5/6 years ago and we've since seen how all three of them have progressed in their careers.

His first few games since his return in 23/24 season, he was starting both Brooks and Osula against Liverpool, then he gave Peck a cameo against Brentford.

Did he criticise Brooks and Seriki, yes he criticized both of them in the media, but it wouldn't have been anything he hadn't already said to them in private.

But he still played both of them so they obviously had a good relationship, same with the likes of Peck and Arblaster. Mark Duffy had that rumoured fallout with him over wages post 18/19 season and he never played another game for us.

Yes, One helped Lincoln get promoted last season, but that was in a lower division and until that point, in his appearances for us in the championship he didn't look up to the level back then, he might get there this season, he might not.

Look at Sasnauskas when he played against Birmingham in the Cup, it was a nice little test but it was clearly obvious that he was out of his depth and his mistake led to the first goal. That's just what happens with young players sometimes.

Whats awful about it? He just talks about stories, reads comments and speaks to other Blades.
Crazy that your bar of professionalism is Callum Fowler.

If wilder gets 92 points next season, it'll be definitely "I'll show my bollocks in woollys window " moment.
Being that all the woolworths are closed I'm not sweating.

I found it comforting sharing my shock and grief, it was a weird experience, I didn’t know him (George), he’d left the club but it felt so….hard to know the right word.

Don’t have a problem Jimmy Ramble releasing a video so quickly, in real life we have journalist reporting frm the scene as mentioned it helped me deal with the news.
Think the mistake he made was not explaining himself/ his motives at the start of the video because it could easily come across as insensitive/ even profiteering.

Once he’d received the backlash from some Blades….he re-appeared, apologised and explained his motivation behind why he “went early”.

I suppose we all make mistakes and he’s learnt from his mistake…..as mentioned don’t think going early was a mistake…it was not laying down the ground work to his thought process during the 1st few minutes of the video that was the error.

I find the Blades Ramble channel (along with Sheffield United Way) surprisingly professional, informative and entertaining YouTube channels.
I’ve listened to other fan channels and ours seem a much higher standard than at others clubs.

There's fans that sell merchandise, fans that do artwork, fans that did fanzines and things in the past.
Yes.

And I’d say they are all something more than a fan. Particularly if it’s monetised like the badge seller or someone charging a fee to hear them talk about Dem Blades etc.

Im not sure he’s ’only a fan’ if he’s making money off other fans based on Sheffield United news.

I think that’s something else.

Wow….you do know it’s optional if you choose to pay….not compulsory.
Also are you aware how YouTube channels work?
They are basically full time jobs and people can make a living from it…if they have the talent. It’s high risk though packing a job in to go fulltime.

The channels provides companionship, mental health support, SU specific information and entertainment.
Some would say it’s a bargain compared to paying for a BBC TV license. I don’t pay anything but I suppose I’m contributing by watching it, the high number of viewers means he can charge more for sponsorship. Think it’s great, the more Blades fan channels the better, hope the best ones make money for the hard work.

Yet Rambles got all the talent of roadkill. Blokes a self serving whopper. (IMO of course)
