Just cannot see us signing anyone while all these court cases are on going.
I have thought for a while that something is going off we have hardly been linked with any players except Souttar especially when we are crying out for some creativity, now Anel is "linked" Which was always going too happen due to his link with us. Souttar I'm convinced we are just playing silly buggers mainly to keep the fans onside while hopping someone else comes in and nicks him. Anel is just a Brucie bonus for our owners gets fans all giddy but in reality we don't have a cat in hells chance of signing him.
I have no idea if we are in serious trouble with regards too getting a points reduction, but i am worried that there won't be any reinforcements coming in and this side is in real danger of going down even without the points deduction.

Fully agree with all of that. I'm worried too that a relegation battle is inevitable

Am I the only one who thinks McGuiness should be given longer to maintain current form? He's dominant in the air, he's played a lot of football at this level, he's under contract for another three years and if we let him go now then it will inevitably be at a loss.

Ok, he's not the fastest but neither is Souttar. I'd much rather us spend money on a winger or two given that's where the real weakness lies and given how we've lost two wingers and our most creative players. We have seen Wilder change his mind before on players; most notably, Courts and Freeman.

How does anyone know his wage? I'm unsure why people assume it's massive. He went from Cardiff to Luton then got relegated and signed for us in a league above.

Because people want an excuse to crap on him. Hes associated with the old manager, and is a player "fan favourite" manager doesn't like, so he's the scapegoat

End of the day, he’s played well in two games and we haven’t conceded.

We’ve also given few chances away.

You’d have to be wilfully blind to not acknowledge that.

Tanganga plays better with a dominant partner and McGuinness is that.

What I’d also say is that he came into a team that had no midfield protection at all. Perhaps he’s a confidence player and certainly being in a new defence with no protection or discipline will have damaged anyone’s confidence. I feel there’s a chance it has skewed our thinking of him.

We seem very short of cash right now. We’ve raked in 15m. We have Tanganga, McGuinness, Baptiste and Zatterstrom as dedicated centre backs and we have Doherty who can also play there.

This may seem like a bit of a come down, talk of Souttar and Anel then not bothering, but the absolute priority if we spend anything at all is wages on a left winger. We literally have no left winger at all and play a formation that needs one.

I’d be happy to offload Cannon and add money to the pot. Then bring in say BBD and another left winger. BBD covers both wings potentially though much preferred on the left and also Center Forward. Then perhaps add a back up or alternative. I’m not sure Clarke is so realistic.
