Sorry Sky, you can't have title decider Middlesbrough vs Hull, but how about you show Newport vs Carlisle instead?
 



Sky don't care about the fans that go. Not their concern.

Is there any mileage in fans who have booked travel/hotels getting in touch with sky for them to foot the bill? Or the club paying seeing as United will make a tidy penny or two out of this. Would seem fair.

It's a shame they don't start changing games like Barnsley away to 5.30 on the Saturday to piss SYP off instead of us.
 
This is utterly appalling.

Maybe some representations should be made to Jim via his favourite social media outlets.

The powers that be need to know how much they are dicking around their most loyal supporters.

Not sure tbh. But he is a business man - is he even aware of the impact of these decisions on his most faithful customers?

I think they do, how good would the football product be if it was played in front of empty stadiums with zero atmosphere?

The problem is that fans just moan and do sod all about it.

Plenty of Championship and even Premiership has been played in front of half empty stadiums on the telly.

They know people will always go so they do not care. Same with the ridiculous prices clubs charge. We are our own worst enemy at times.

Correct he is a business man, how much better will the accounts look with the extra money that comes with a sky match fee?

I'm sure he's aware, but if Sky change the fixture he can't do anything. Don't think any blame can be apportioned to United/the board.
 
February 1995 - A 3-1 away win and quite possibly the craziest weekend I have had watching the Blades (and I have had a few). Was hoping for a repeat this year but thanks SKY you miserable bunch of two-hats...........

End of the day, there is nothing United can do so what can anyone at the club do other than say sorry and we are sympathetic?

Totally agree. Best thing would be for none of us to go and even see if Southend fans would back us up and not go either. Let Sky show it in front of an empty ground
 
Was going to start looking at a weekend in London that Easter weekend and take in the Southend game too. Luckily had not booked a hotel/train tickets. Off work that week so maybe could still go but very unlikely now. Feel for those who have already booked stuff. Very annoying. Just think though if we go up again or ever make it the Prem League again then this could happen month.

We have had some annoying fixtures changes/times already for no real reason such as Barnsley and Millwall. Added in some daft nothing games moved for Sky (Coventry, Southend etc) and it seems we have had fewest 3pm Saturday games I can recall for many a season.

Didn't SYP once move the Sheffield derby to an early Saturday KO and then Sky came in and moved it to Friday night? Think it was the one we won 3-1 where Brown scored the best goal we've ever seen.
 
Neither club can be blamed over this, The football League signed away the fixture list to Sky when they took the money, Sky have final say on which fixtures they want to show and when.

The amount of sway Sky have is incredible, remember the Bransley away fixture which the Police moved to a midday kick off from three o'clock for "public safety reasons" well if Sky had wanted to move that to 5.15pm for live TV that day there would have been notthing the Police could have done about it even they don't get a say in front of Murdochs millions.
 
So sky are more powerful than the police as well as club owners?

Do I need to call them when I want to take a shit?
 
This was the pick of the away games looking at our fixtures at the beginning of the season. Sky step in aaaaaaaaand it's gone....

Unsurprising but extremely annoying. I feel sorry for all those Blades who have already organised, booked and paid for it all.
