John Street, as quick as usual, if not quicker.

The queues at John Street/Shoreham end of the Kop seemed better, but Cherry Street/Shoreham busier.

Bramall Lane entry to SS ended up being potentially dangerous.

I'm sure until 15 to 20 minutes before kick off it worked smoothly but as soon as it got properly busy it was a farce.

No-one knew where the queue started or went.

And if you want it to work, you need people manning the queue telling everyone where to go and ensure people don't move the barriers and crowd in in front of the turnstiles.

After queueing for 25 minutes, once it got to kick off, the amount of people crammed in front of the turnstiles was far worse than normal due how everyone approached.

On entering bramall lane from the cricketers end I immediately thought this is crazy having the opposition fans queuing in a line down the road across John st, imagine what this would be like when we play an arch rival like wed etc, asking for trouble imo, plus at the home south stand entry some queued orderly whilst others just joined in anywhere. Plus, I may be wrong ,but there didn't seem to be as many police on bramall lane yesterday

No queries when we went into John Street. Went in early with kid. But never see any queues for John St.

Go in. Grab a pint. Catch up with mates. Seat for k.o

There's a lot to be said for getting in early and soaking up the lack of atmosphere.

In the south stand it gives you chance to position your seat cover correctly so it tucks into the folds of your arse, place your bovril in the cinema style holder and suck on a Werther before Garyoke cranks it up a notch.

and stand on the ramp at either end of the South Stand breathing in second hand smoke and vape - lovely :(

The queueing at the Bramall Lane end of the South Stand was ridiculous - a recipe for aggravation caused by people pushing in - both accidentally and on purpose. Presumably it was intended to allow a more thorough security check by stewards? Didn't seem to be much of that going on

Got to our turnstiles near railway 25 mins before KO, we thought wtf is this then then when looking back at the long queue. Actually turned out to be quick entry as no one is pushing in etc. Could do with more fencing going back to the railway to indicate where the queue starts. I actually think it's an improvement from previous seasons

The vape/smoke thing is an issue on the kop too and I mean on the kop.

It will work fine until 15 minutes or so before kick off then it will be carnage, like yesterday.

It made getting in smooth and quick at 25 min before kick off. I thought it was maybe to stop the usual ‘queue’ going all the way across the road and blocking those going past (and instead directing the queue down the road). It also made a space in front of the turnstile which was definitely needed for all the people who hadn’t properly downloaded their season ticket, and then couldn’t get in, and so had to start coming back out and asking everyone why it ‘wasn’t working’.

The moral of the story is that we should have got there a little earlier with the possibility that the chaos would have been earlier. The main issue was the queue beyond the barriers doubling back on itself and people jumping the queue - either accidentally or on purpose. I got to my seat just as the players were about to come out (I accept I should have maybe arrived a bit sooner).
