I think it can get rather frustrating when people disappear after setting up a debate then they wont debate with you. That does happen at the weekend more than other times.

Don't forget that Take Me Out is on Satdi night as well.

I don't think this thread is aimed at Deadbat ,might be wrong but anyway , disagree hugely with some things he posts and sometimes tell him ,he answers me in a sensible articulate way and creates some great discusions. I love the reports and when I was away earlier this season he was the first port of call and I relied on them for an accurate view of the game. Flynn 6 btw :)

I like the way Deadbat can take criticism , good thing really , as he says hes a bit pessimistic at times
I can also take criticism but as Im rarely wrong dont get any, which works out well

As an exile I really appreciate it when anybody writes a report, the more the better. Some of the best are those Linz has produced as she follows the preseason - it gives a sense of what is coming. Always read DB's of course and balance that with everything else and sometimes a full-game video (quality a bit rough, but if you can't make the game its the best you get). Overall, this type of info is why I hooked into this forum, so long may it continue.
 
I always enjoy reading Deadbats reports. This forum is probably one of my only outlets for linking up with other Blades. I don't live in Sheffield and don't have any mates or family who are Blades and more often than not go to games on my own, unless I can bully one of the grandkids into coming with me. Reading Deadbats reports has replaced the Green Un a little bit for me. Personally I'm not that concerned whether we win cups, leagues or whatever, success is relatively incidental to me, it's more a question of identity
 
Many appreciate Deadbat's reports. He reads the game really well. He admits he is harsh, cynical and pessimistic. They are a great source of information for exiles and stimulate debate amongst those that go.

Whether or not it is about DB, the original poster certainly comes across as a prize pillock (imo). Another one for the North Korean Blades forum ......

You said the first bit yesterday. At the risk of repeating myself, he has actually done the same as Deadbat (if its about him or not, and I dont think it is) - Stimulated debate and in reference to your statement yesterday Deadbat does not answer everyone - nor should he have to as much as the Thread Starter does not have to name the people he has aimed this at. It is up to 3 pages of stimulated debate that does not come accross as a prize pillock as much as you or others. Indeed I would look at some you support before you start calling others and maybe a certain amount of Olleci---- puts you in the above club before this poster.

Actually, this is one from the Micalijo school. Drop a 'bomb' and get the hell out of there. Sit back and watch after making an extremely provocative or contrtaversial approach.

Just about every post fits your description of 'stimulating debate'. So my opinion is that he is a prize pillock. Your opinion is that I am a prize pillock. I believe the poster should stae who here is talking about (and so do a few others) where as you don't. You think that the original poster is some sort of guru for stimulating debate, whilst I think they are cowardly, pathetic and completely misguided. If you are saying that this person delibarately set out to wind people up, then I might have to hold my hands up and say that we are in the same boat. Similarities stop there (imo). Sure you'll disagree though.
 
You'll probably haven't twigged this Olle, as you don't spend much time in general chat, but boo, mickerz and cool clint are a little trio that look after each other. Criticise one of them, and as sure as your shit is brown, one or both of the others will rise up against you.

Actually, you've pretty much nailed it there.

There really isn't a lot to debate:

We're playing/doing well - so no continuous "manager is shit" threads
Team pretty much picks itself - so not many "give him a chance" type threads.
Mcdonald has pretty much nailed the Monty debate - so no need to bring him up
Transfer window is shut - No "get him in" threads

When things are quite rosey it makes it very quiet.

A desperate run or the release of the ST renewal prices will see it kicking off again though.
