For all those feeling very down and depressed about Saturday, especially those who posted on the top 6 thread, cheer up. Imagine how the fans of HMSPTL (Orient) are feeling. No.....wait......I've spoke to a few....they aren't that arsed as it's only the first game of the season!

Agreed. Every other team has had all of pre season like us. I won't accept the number of new players as an excuse as Bristol City had 6 debutants like ourselves and still played with cohesion. Bristol City dominated the majority of the game, something that should never be allowed to happen, especially in the 3rd division and in our own back yard!

New players is unacceptable as an explanation/excuse. Wolves had a largely new team last season, didn't they? We had five debutants on Saturday. Elliot was on loan last year and signed permanently in the summer. My thoughts on this are that it is easier starting the season away from home, that worked in our favour, even allowing for our record at Bramall Lane. We'll see how we get on in front of our own increasingly expectant crowd next weekend, and you chaps do away from yours, where not having as much of the ball won't matter so much, and space on the break will be there to be exploited. Like you did at Ashton Gate last year!

Give it a few weeks and then see where we all are. There's still swallows flying about down here folks!
