[SOLD OUT] Spurs away tickets??

This is a good idea.
The loyalty system is fine for ensuring that our loyalist fans get tickets but it has had an impact on travelling numbers due to certain fans not being given sufficient time to make plans.

How many of our fixtures since the implementation of loyalty points have sold out? People can plan on getting tickets for 95%+ of our games.

I've always said, if people want to go, they'll always manage to go (money or health permitting).

What a bloody shambles. Can't order two tickets online as my mate's account is not linked to mine. Now on hold in position 21.

You can link them online if you both have login details.

500 tickets remaining for general sale tomorrow.

"Unlikely" to be a further allocation.

Our Loyalty Points system has its pros & cons. It works on a 5yr rolling system, so any points you got for matches attended 5 seasons ago are wiped off at the start of each season. Good if you are a regular attendee at current games but bad if you had accumulated points watching shit games in the 1990 & early 2000s. Personally, on balance, i agree with it.

Firstly, ST holders (21.5k) get first crack of the whip - fair enough, then any tickets left over go to members (75k). For away games, everyone applies at the same time & after the ST applicants are filled in it goes to members, For example, for the first 4k you gave us, all ST holders were filled & the rest went down to members with 388 points. After you gave us another 1500, it went down to members with 98 points whose details the club obviously had on record & could send of an email to in quick order.

Simple system really, the club know whow many fans want to attend & all they have to do is work out the cut-off point.

If 5k Blades had applied for the 4k tickets on offer at WHL all your officials had to do was kick out the 1k with the lowest points.

If we introduced a rolling five year system could we wipe off the Walsall game?

Just a thought, but could our Southern based support form their own Supporters Club ,get affiliation to the club and some sort of allocation for away games down that way?Middlesbrough Supporters South would be a prime example.

One thing the need to do with the loyalty points system is update it so it doesn't track points from the dawn of time.

I'm allright jack here on 29k points, but what about younger lads (and lasses) who start following the Blades on a regular basis, but say only for the last few years? They're probably still miles behind me, so will be at a disadvantage for big games, even though they might have been to 35-40 away games over the last 2 seasons for example.

I think the points should be counted for the last 4-5 seasons only, not right back to 2006.

What about older fans who financial circumstances have changed but standing on the mud bank at Halifax gets fuck all points.

You can link them online if you have his membership number, surname and his postcode. I did that last week and it worked fine.

Unfortunately I didn't have his postcode and he wasn't available today to ask. The website did say, quite confusingly, that I couldn't buy tickets for someone else even if I linked them now, but that they could then buy tickets for me.

Not to worry, should be fine for general sale in the morning.

I have just over 3,000 points and have to wait until near the end to acquire tickets. I missed out on Chesterfield as they had sold out by the time it came to my turn. :(

When I need a ticket for my young son (11) we have to wait until general sale to be sure we can be together. I think he should become a member to avoid waiting till the end.

In general for most away games I sit/stand where I fancy and do not take my allocated seat. This is important as when I am with the boy we can sit near the front in a more appropriate place. This also enables decent pockets of fans to get the crowd going, singing and chanting. When our leaders are apart and diluted the atmosphere is not the same.

It takes a long time to get thousands of points when you don't have a season ticket. Pity there isn't a season ticket type offer for all away games including cup matches?

But it's easy to link cards - member number, surname and postcode - job done.

EDIT - just seen above - have linked a person and could order, so not sure why you had issues - weird!

Mudbank at Halifax or tarmacced mudbank at Sealand Road or even worse the tarmacced decaying mudbank at Springfield Park.

Some Blades deserve an Effin medal for tolerating some of those grounds, not loyalty points. Mind you the weather was good and being a young Blade on away day duty brought its own warming joys....

When football grounds were football grounds and tickets were only for trains, cinemas and the coat collection at 'Stars' night club...

Wall fell on me at Halifax, just as Kenworthy slotted home a penalty. Ruined a new pair of Pepe jeans and Lacoste jumper :(

Did all three of those too :)
Halifax
Chester
Wigan

Remember Elm Park as a shit hole too

Have to agree with the "get the tickets sold quickly" argument.

For the Liverpool semi we were queueing overnight for tickets. I got to The Lane at about 8pm on the night before they went on sale.

I also agree with the 5 year rolling thing, even though that would mean me losing out big time. I've got just under 30,000 points but hardly ever go to away games anymore. I went to Donny away this season but my last away game before that was the MK match after Ched got sent down.

What screws our system is the people with a high number of loyalty points over the years ( you know who you are ) deciding they are not going to a certain game and then offering to buy tickets for friends with less or little or no loyalty points which is just bumping up their own allocation thus cheating the system and other fans, read the T&C's loyalty points are NOT transferable. This also spoils it for the younger or new fans who have become regulars as they will never catch up to some fans who don't always actually go to away games much anymore.

Perhaps older fans with lots of points who don't go to many away games should be moved to the twats thread?

I managed to link another person, but it didn't work first time. I added their details and when I first submitted I got a message to say I had to phone box office, tried again and it was fine. When I then went to the basket and changed the name of the person buying the tickets I got a message to say I couldn't buy the tickets. I realised you have to press update basket first for it to refresh which is all a bit odd.

No tickets available online now. Have they all sold out?

Officially sold out according to SUFC_TWEETS.
Hope everyone that wanted one got sorted!

Been trying on way to work since 7.30 but online site still said you needed points (so hadn't been updated) . lost signal at 8.30 and once I could log on again at 9.30 all sold out!
Any chance they will get more?

They only went on general sale at 9am and had sold out at 9:30 (only about 500 remained)
The club says no further tickets will be allocated.

Unlikely, they went on general sale to us at 9.30am.

Will check the lie of land in a min.

This was a complete shambles, I rang up as soon as it went 9 there were 23 in the Queue already... Maybe lines open slightly earlier than 9am... Then tried at 9am online and said quantity 3 but they wouldn't go into my basket. I tweeted them and said whats going on. At 9:25 they said they had sold out...Sooooo why couldn't I buy them online? tried in 3 different browsers and then at 9:15 they took them off the website... bah hum bug! Sky sports at the pub it is then!

I was in the box office queue and they sold out just as I was being served at 9.25 !!

The queue was told by a Blade on the way out (as I was 2 from the front) that we'd be lucky as they only had 20 or so left, as they'd dealt with internet orders before opening the doors.

What is not going to away game much, 2/3 a year? I do not go to that many anymore but reserve the right to build my points up towards the 30 k mark. The next member in my family has just over 14 k. The 14 k is active as a season ticket holder. The towards 30 k as a member. I also have two other family and friends points above 10 k non active. I wanted us all to be able to go to Spurs away. some very kind forum members let me use their active points to get tickets the extra two tickets. One non active member is one of my lads who lives away so does not go to that many games. Next season I will activate the other points and lay dormant this years so I reserve the right for my family to go to the games all together when we want.

You don't have any rights to reserve, Loyalty points are not transferable end of, anything else is just cheating the system which could lead to you losing your loyalty points if the club find out. If you want to be with family do as Foxy says buy tickets as and when you can and exchage tickets when you get to the one with the least loyalty points.

When it says not transferable it means you cannot have a new member come in and your points go to that new member. As for people using others points that is why there is a family and friends link.
Tell you what then after every five years why not reset every ones points to 10k apart from those building them up. if they stay loyal they will then hit 10 k and all fans will be equal. Lets see if that satisfies those with 15/20/30 k points. watch for the scramble then at the ticket office and be caller number 38, ("let me hold you"). Yes me and my family and friends will use the ticket points within the present set up and rotate them.

Maybe for games there should be an "expression of interest" posted by the club on the website so they can gauge likely support. From there the club should be able to work out selling strategy.

Oh yeah. Can just imagine some Wendy fan posting multiple times just to fuck the system up. And if Hatchett got going, the 'expression of interest' would be around 160,000.
