And I've had 40 yrs of it too and I agree with every word of yours I've read today.

5000 missing fans is a myth, and is only a hangover from our recent flirtations with the premiership.

We never had regular crowds of over 25,000 in the 70s and 80's but the atmosphere and match day experience was much

better because the fans were all fans and not moaners, whingers and "spoilt brat must have it now glory seekers" like most who post regularly on this board.

I've been a spoilt brat of a glory-seeker for nearly fifty-years. I can't begin to calculate how many hours I've spent or how many miles I've travelled in search of glory.

Failure, appalling football and low but gullible crowds - That's the recipe. Please Sir, can I have some more?

I'm going too SV. I'm particularly looking forward to the midfield artistry of Nick Montgomery and Stephen Quinn. Aren't you? About 5,000 others have told me they disagree. Spoilt brats and glory-hunters if you ask me.

umm we got to the watneys cup final actually.. seriously though.. we did come 5th/6th in the league (can't remember it is that long ago)
