im in scouseland and on the rock and roll ,so no i didnt go

I didn't go as part of my protest after the Watford game but delighted with today's outcome and performance.
I will resume normal service this week with away trips to Forest and Peterborough.
Perhaps my protest has driven the Blades to 'Turn the corner'
Up the Blades

Aha, you see like most of the Blackwell out brigade a statement to indicade 'lost within their own self importance.
As if you could have any influence - its laughable.

I used to play for Holmesfield in the early to mid 1990's. Maybe I played against you? Cracking little set up at Grindleford.

Ford won 3-0, cracking performance... we're in the Derbyshire Cup final as well in april. after a slow start its been a cracking season

I played in the Hope Valley league from '94 to 2005. Grindleford, Baslow and then Calver. So may have played against you as I played Holmesfield a few times.

Thats a decent win, do they still change in the porta cabins :D

Did Ryan and Cairnsy play?

Are you a Valley lad? Or were you just doing missionary work amongst the yokels?

From Calver/ Froggatt originally, so just outside the Valley

Grindleford have excellent facilities - proper changing rooms and the best pitch in the league. Harpur Hill is the one high over Buxton - the local residents have to suffer very muddy young men in pants getting changed by their cars after the game!

I didn't, feeling crap and a hundred miles away, couldn't get the motivation.

Didn't go - after Watford away and last Sat didn't fancy another 350-mile round trip when I had plenty I could do down here. Is that a crime? Delighted it sounds to have been much better. UTB.

Boo,

As individuals none of us have any influence. As a bunch of amateur scribes or Praise and Grumblers we have no meaningful influence. As taproom pundits we influence nothing. Take it all together though and it can make a difference. The weight of public opinion does register with those in power. If it can change laws and bring down governments surely it can affect policy at a football club? I know K-Mac is sensitive to it and the diminishing attendances will have been noted.

I was delighted with yesterday's performance. All the credit, however, should go to me!

You see the Blackwell out brigade is in minority (not that I am a Blackwell in man)
So the minority will not prevail especially as a football club is not a democracy and is an autocracy.
And all credit cannot go to you for yesterday as you did not pick and would not pick Monty for your team:p

Only because I've felt like death over the last couple of days as I've been full of flu...seriously!

I'll be back for the Plymouth game - as there's nothing as cheering as a home win.

I didn't go because I haven't got 5 pence to scratch me arse with. Will be scraping the dough together for the green army game though.

We planned to go to Sheffield on Saturday morning for a meeting, and hence we planned to go to the Lane in the afternoon.

Unfortunately, the meeting got moved to Sunday morning, so we didn't go.

Oh, the irony.

A thread for those who didn't go usurped by someone, who presumably did, in order to complain about THEIR "own self importance".
