Just a thought about last nights game and the press telling us the big incentive for the club is a game against Man U on one page and that last seasons FA cup run gave us the founds to buy new players this season on another..
OK I would imagine most of our up and coming stars would love the exposure on TV, it could lead to offers from bigger clubs but what about the players that some on forums like this are screaming to get rid of, would they be as enthusiastic about playing in a game to get the money to replace them ?
Just take a look at the size of the squad at present maybe some are thinking it's a little bit too crowded already..

To be fair, aren't every promotion team just playing to be replaced (a la Paul Stancliffe) by someone else the following season?

You've got to have the confidence to think you're going to be one of those that's kept. Surely the very least of incentives is having a "big game" performance on the CV.

Yes i think that about players I am not doubting that they wouldn't do there best but when you look at a side like qpr who got promoted with kenny clint hill and Shaun Derry. Then the next year there's Julio cesar samba and Barton.
I also find it funny that players like carragher and gerrard are loyal for being one club men when if they started at a club like ours they would have left whether they loved the club or not x
