Even if we lose a couple more players or rather don't re-sign current out of contract players, i still think there's enough in the team and what we have coming through the academy to see us through. If you remove Evans, Willo and McDonald from last years team with no replacements I'd put us mid table.

We will sign some players though, either way. So I woudn't like to guess until it all becomes clearer.

That is alot of pressure on the young players that were loaned out to lower leagues and couldn't make their starting lineups.
If they can't break the lineup in League 2 how can you expect them in a couple of summer months to make the jump to League 1.

In all honesty i think too many people have to much blind faith in the blades.
It`s gonna need half a dozen clever signings-even if we get pen to paper from k.mac and willo.
We need a goalie for defo,we need a new left back and cover for centre half,a creative midfielder and defensive mid fielder,plus a proven finisher.
You could put Long,tel kennedy,mcallister,tonne,philliskirk and whithouse into the above but it wont get us out of this league.
If we have the current squad including kmac,willo and mguire i can see us around 7th -5th,with a good keeper and a goal scorer then maybe top 3,but i cant see us emulating last years points total,that was ridiculously unlucky.

Depends solely on what we bring in. Cofie and another addition up front would be a good start. Hopefully the rumour about Zoko has substance as that would give us a bit of pace and power up front....something we were sadly lacking at the end of last season.

If we can also retain the services of KMac and Willo we will have two solid banks of four and wont need to bring in many more imo. We would just need some defensive cover then - at right back and centre half. The rest of the squad should be supplemented with academy players so that we can give them experience.

I honestly think that would do for a promotion push. So essentially I'm saying we need 6 players, including Cofie, KMac and Willo.

There is a huge difference in blooding one or two youngsters into a side or dropping half a team in there.

I voted in HB's poll for a 7-12th finish based on what had happened at that time, since then we have lost one of our top four players from last season (-4), re-signed a striker who scored just about as many goals as Lowton (+1)and have a MU youth on loan (+3 but not sure). My clapometer has barely moved so far.

For what it's worth I will swing as below:

KMac signs (+5), Monty leaves (+5), Cresswell leaves (+5), Willo signs (+4), Quinn leaves (+3), Flynn leaves (+3), LJF/Williams/McAllister leave (0), Collins leaves (-3), Doyle leaves (-3), Maguire leaves (-5)

When you wake up or the drugs wear off you will find we have an unproven keeper that has been bombed out of every club he has been at and that is quite a few. Someone mentioned 2 solid banks of four......... (maybe for the Dog & Duck) We are going into pre season with no full backs of any note and two painfully slow centre backs and no cover for any of them. The midfield four or is it two ? we are never quite sure if Willo & K McD are going to turn up so we are left with Quinn and Doyle oh and Monty if you class him as a footballer I don't. Then to finish it all off we have the two slowest most immobile pair in the division up front one of which can only jog about for 30 mins, add to that a kid from Man U who might do ok if the fax machine is fixed and all backed up with a sprinkling of young lads.
And you think we will have enough for a promotion push........... seriously is the rest of league one that bad ???
Still a lot of work to be done on that squad just for a push into the top half of the division.

The only other outgoing transfer I can see is Quinn. I expect McDonald to stay and Williamson to go.

If we get Zoko and another striker I expect us to finish top 2.
