What will that mean for us?
Will our game be moved to a Sunday?
Will Sheffield City Centre resemble a war zone that weekend?
Will there be a terrible stench of Jellied Eels & pork in the air?

Think we'll be the Sunday as I'd expect large nos of Shammers wandering the city centre on the Saturday night if they were the Sunday fixture.

I think it means swine cottage will resemble a porn film as large numbers of jellied eel eating wankers and ground painting scrubbers indulge in a mutual masturbation whilst simultaneously singing about their dislike for SUFC.

I imagine whatever day they play Sheffield Train Station will be carnage.

If we play the same day, then they arrive near the Blades ground = Carnage.

If we play different days, Blades will await their arrival = Carnage.

It can't be avoided. The worst part is that it's all gonna kick off and we'll get fans banned from away games, sections of our stadium closed down etc. because the ones that want to go and have some fistycuffs are going to ruin it for us all.

If we'd drawn West ham and there was violence then fair enough. But, if we turn up at the station when we're not even playing then we'll get some right backlash from it.

You seem to be assuming a great deal.

Blades fans should vent any disapproval they may still have at the West Ham management, not the fans.

And the Premier League mafia, of course.

It's history now, anyway.

I hold no grudge against West Ham fans only the the dark Lord Scudamore, and the 4 munchkins on the first tribunal, who decided to change the rules to avoid upsetting Trevorv Brooking

Should be pigs with an early KO on the Sunday. At most I'd expect a couple of hundred United trying to get at them on a Sunday and possibly none at all. It would also help keep the lid on the pig thugs.

If the cheats play on the saturday then they're just as capable of hanging round into the sat evening for some fisticuffs as if they planned to stay over on a sat eve for a sunday game.

My prediction is lots of talk, lots of overreaction, lots of police overtime, lots of cost to the taxpayer and (hopefully) very little trouble with all sides claiming victory.

Yeah, because their fans are such a fair-minded bunch who've put the past behind them and moved on...

yes they have some numpties , but cant see why theyre moaning it only cost them 5 million to buy a place in the prem with a 20 million redemption clause they've had 3 x 50 m extra income than we got, so are still 125 million to the good

I know that and you know that but the vast majority of their fans believe that their club did nothing wrong and we tried to "cheat" them out of the Premiership.

lets be fair ,if united play west ham there will be trouble
the tevez thing is just another reason ,they will be scrapping anyway what will be funny will be to see how our porkular enemies react ,knowing them they will kiss the shammers arses and end up getting chased off their own patch

west ham did cost us relegation , but it was the 1-0 defeat at their place when the ref disallowed our last minute equaliser for a push on their keeper , which he admitted after he got wrong it was a west ham defender who hit him, a 1-1 draw that day wed have stayed up on gd above wet sham

Everything is assumptions at this stage. How can we speak factually?

"Sheffield United fans clashed with West Ham United fans on the weekend of 7th/8th January, in and around the Sheffield city centre" FACT

I will also make a point of bumping this thread back to the top after that weekend to prove that I can see the future.

It's inevitable - it will happen.

Cant see us playing at the same time. Think they will be sunday and us on the sat

if the police had any sense they'd move it a couple of days apart.. otherwise it will get large.. ahem.. 'interesting'

if one of the games is moved to the sunday they will all meet up on the saturday night ,its easier for those with bans to go into town on a saturday night
it will suit our "boys " down to the ground

Did anyone see the hilarious thread on Blades Mad about giving West Ham some fist? Funniest thing I've read in ages.

Whats all these links for kumb? Is it because they are kumb quats or some other cockney rhyming slang?

I heard on radio sheffield wednesday how Mugson makes all their first team on match days walk up the steps to the back of their kop , right up the top to get a feel of the place , then turns them round , stand on the seats of the very back row, and has them stand on tip toes , he then shouts "Can anyone see my house at Loxley "
