May I remind you that as much as I like Billy Sharp (I like him), the top goalscorer in the country is Teemu Pukki, who scores the vast majority of his goals from close range (and not one single penalty).

And may I remind you that as much as I respect this Sheffield United team (organised and hard working, good team spirit, good coach, worthy of respect), we've scored 15 more goals than you this season and more than any other team in the country. So perhaps the issue isn't that we supposedly get lucky scoring more than anybody else from long range, but rather that Sheffield United and every other team in this league perhaps just don't have as many players capable of doing the same.

We've scored two long range goals from players who have been scoring from long range all season, next you will be saying that Frank Lampard was lucky to have scored 274 career goals considering he scored probably the majority from range.

The issue that I have is that whilst I'm happy to accept that Sheffield United deserve promotion..... it seems that there are quite a lot of Sheffield United fans who seem to think that we're just really lucky (every week, even now after 13 in a row undefeated) and aren't worthy of ours.... and you epitomize one of those. Which I find a frankly ludicrous proposition and one that could only be arrived at with a heavy dose of utter bitterness from somewhere. I suppose it could be complete ignorance, which is a possibility considering you've questioned our ability to score from close range.... when we own Teemu fucking Pukki (Jesus Christ on a bike mate!).

We've scored 91 goals.... no type of goal feels "rare" in our side. You don't score 91 goals with a game plan which revolves around just feeding a poacher.... obviously.... subtract Pukki's 28 goals from 91 and you are left with a lot of goals from midfield. We've only scored 1 penalty all season, we're shit at scoring from corners. Do the math.

What is it? Still hung up about the Maddison thing? If so... why? Give you 3 points from that game last season and you are still not top 6. Or just thick?

Now (sincere) congratulations on your promotion, I really would have thought it would be enough to make some of you look at things a bit more objectionably and that you'd be void of the jealousy that we're seeing from fans of other teams.... but obviously not.

You could give us credit for doing this on a shoestring, like you have, if you fancied taking off the red and white tinted specs.... didn't see us dropping £10m to steal a striker from a promotion rival like Leeds, or signing a Spanish International from Real Madrid did you? Or giving a manager more than Gareth Southgate salary for managing the national team. Yet for some unfathomable reason I still see Sheffield United fans, of all people, expressing the view that they'd rather their supposed rivals pipped us to promotion. And its bizarre.

So yeah it winds me up, why wouldn't it?

They have been consistently ahead of West Brom all season, for multiple weeks.

Whilst Leeds have slumped in the past 10 days meaning perhaps, if we are temporarily heading to pedant's corner, they are no longer 'miles' ahead of West Brom

Given Leeds have Ipswich away and WBA have Derby away, Leeds in all likelihood are going to finish ahead of WBA, a place they have been for most of the season.
