To score a last minute winner is great. To do so after their fans and piss poor stewarding brought the game into utter disrepute is beautiful. I enjoyed that goal A LOT. Fuck you Coventry.

I agree wholeheartedly. Serves them right. Never liked Coventry anyway.
 
I was just bemoaning our propensity for dropping silly points in games like tonight before the pitch invasion. So hands up, the players showed incredible bottle to come out and win it like that. Reminds me of the NFL when the offence comes out and has to drive the ball all the way up the field to score having been sat on the touchline for ages.

Off topic, but what's this Shoutbox caper? I haven't been on here tonight so I've missed everything.

Just got back now. The Coventry fans overstepped the line tonight. They were an utter embarrassment. They showed nothing but utter contempt and disrespect for the game and all of us who travelled down there on a Thursday night. For me the satisfaction of them losing it after the disruption they caused actually outweighed the satisfaction of us winning the game. Very strange, but fucking brilliant.

I don't know what's worse, their behaviour or the club's woefully inadequate organisation with the stewarding and crowd control. There were nowhere near enough of them for a start, and those who were there were totally unresponsive, did everything in slow motion and every single one of their pitch invaders got away with it, and obviously aren't going to be punished.

I hope they go down and rot. They're a complete waste of a football club, absolute non entities. If there's any club suited to such negligent owners, it might just be Coventry City.
 
I get the feeling that most of the stewards were condoning what happened....shaking hands with some of them...and the ultimate piss take was the player posing for a selfie with kids who had been encouraged to enter the field of play.

No sympathy from me....protest against the club, the owners whatever....but leave the match alone. They want what's best for their club....well listen to this Coventry fans....so the fuck do we.
So we don't want you lot blowing whistles all match, interfereing with the refereeing and the like. Putting the safety of our players at risk. Our fans have paid good money travelling to support our team. We've had our fair share of shit over the years....boohoo....feckin deal with it.

Even the coppers looked bemused at the start of the match as they plodded up the steps to guard us/them from us/them. Wasn't too long until they plodded back down again to walk across to guard against quite literally dozens of self-pitying nobs wetting themselves at the prospect of a pitch invasion.
 
I had a soft spot for Cov before this match as my auntie is a supporter.

That soft spot is now GONE.

Not only invading the pitch TWICE and lobbing shit onto it in the middle of play but sending our players death threats and attacking Blades supporters both physically and online because of a bit of banter.

Fuck you Coventry.

some poor sod picked an unfortunate choice of words when they scored and got crucified for it .. with the usual insinuations about their loyalties.. (even though they've been on here for years)i stuck up for him and Linz thought it was getting out of hand.. probably right decision to be fair

i should rise above the baiting but this attitude of 'go and support wednesday' really gets on my tits.. the OP has been on here longer than i have.. i'll shut up about it. me and boo and sitwell never agree on anything anyway :)
i'm not getting into the Done thing i'll leave it to CW.. as long as we win i don't care anymore
