Changed the game as much as Agent Coady against Wolves last season.

I thought they were playing the 11 v 10 pretty well. Dragging us around looking for spaces. Even if they weren't going to score immediately they looked like they were wearing us out. Never underestimate these players, but at the time it looked to me like only two results looked possible.

Mowbray chucks on attacking subs, changes shape, and goes for it.

Enter Richard Smallwood. Exit Richard Smallwood. And with the wrong players in the wrong system they are all over the place.

According to the Sky website the sending off was 71', by 83' we were 3-0 up.

You still have to win it, and enormous credit "yet again" to Wilder/Knill and the players.

Not seen it back yet but I wasn't convinced it was a red being in line.

Have to watch later. Might be proven well wrong.

I understand that Billy also didn't think it was a red card challenge but then again Bash should never have been sent off either.

Smallwood fell foul of an incompetent ref evening it up.

When both teams went down to ten it was definitely in our favour to have so much extra space on the pitch. They'd down well keeping things tight and restricting movement up top, but 10 vs 10 that wasn't so easy.

The Blackburn fans in The Sentinel were most unimpressed with how thick Smallwood was. We were all in agreement, regardless of whether it was a red or not you don't give the ref an excuse to even things up.

It was a red all day and every Sunday including Xmas, he jumped in two footed ,studs up and injured two players ( one of them his own )
He cost them the game ,they were in total control up to then and I'd have been happy with a 0-0

Absolutely. The ref was showing a card for every challenge at that point.

I think it looked like a red card, seen it on TV and it looks a pretty stupid challenge

Was it Smallwood that Billy Sharp deliberately upended to get booked, a few moments before this incident?

I thought it looked like as soon as Sharp got the ball, the player was lunging in to get a bit of retribution!

I can’t think of any other explanation for a challenge like that, when Sharp was in his own half and going nowhere?

It wasn't but I think the foul on Sharp was retribution for the previous foul

It looked like a yellow to me, even on telly, but Basham shouldn't have been sent off ether. The referee got so much wrong today it was unbelievable. They showed that dive in the build up to our second goal on Quest and it was embarrassing.

They also showed another one, from the first half where there 27 dived in our box. Both of course went completely unpunished!

Absolutely piss poor, ‘look atme’ Wanker of a ref today. Worst of the season and that’s saying something.

But in his defence, he did inadvertently rouse the crowd who were incensed by his inept performance. ;)

This will never sound right. The Championship one of the highest attended leagues in world football has it highlights replayed on a random no mark chanel called quest.

Whatever its on, as long as Colin Murray is presenting it'll be a quality programme.

All it does is highlight the lure of PL as a product. Efl should receive a greater share of the money.

Having now seen it back I can see why the ref gave a red card.

A typical modern day red if you like.

Freeview means everyone has access to the random channels, so the importance of 1-5 has sort of disappeared, if it's good it doesn't matter.

The only impact being on Quest has is advertising, people might not see it's on but then again, who was watching Channel 5 last season to see their adverts? A small sliver on the venn diagram of Championship football fans and fans of documentaries about Hitler's secret transvestite sharks?

It's miles better anyway being on Quest at 9pm (lined up with MOTD) with a good presenter and decent production value than being on ITV at 9am on a Sunday or on a Monday night, or hoping to see a goal on the local news which is what I've had for most of my life.

Quest have the World Snooker Championship too so it seems they're making a good go of ''Quest Sports".

Two blatantly poor refs swung the game for us and woke up the crowd. It seemed like a dream how easy it was to score when to be fair Blackburn had given us a run for their money. Good job they hadn’t got a dead ball specialist like Wilson.

Quest are making a far better job of it than Channel 5 ever did, you can't really fault their coverage so far.

It was a game changer that red card.
Before that there was only going to be one winner.
They’d kept their formation after Bash got his marching orders and started to drag us around to grind us down. On come the subs to supposedly finish the job off. In that respect Mowbray got it spot on. What he couldn’t legislate for was Smallwood diving in like that. After that there was only going to be one winner because they had square Dowels :-) in round holes going for a win.
I Hope Smallwood enjoys his extra shuttles today.
