God's country ...... Rovrum!
According to rumour on BM :(

Fulham £750k to start with

JPM signs July 1st :(

Anyone know what the club did to try and keep him? Wasn't there supposed to be a meeting this week to try to convince him to stay?

I take it the meeting took place am today and we flogged him PM today

if he has said in the meeting he doesn't want to stay and he wants to go let him go we don't want players who don't want to be here next season
had too many last season.

hey ........................................................................................
no,no,no,no,no,no,no,no,no,no,no

Wayne Rooney kissed the Everton badge while he was with them.

He also returned to Everton kissing the Man Utd badge.

Footballers will fuck off elsewhere.

I asume Mr micheal Jackson lover has started this rumour seen as though they haven't got a manager yet. Can't see them signing him without a manager wanting him.
Poor lad will want to go if he or any of his associates read some of these comments get behind the lad and make him want to stay.

mr wilson said he despised SUFC yet here he is loyally backing us, kiss arse if it brings in a huge pay packet :)

what did you do at 18 years old? did you not always dream about having shit loads of money?
Im sure if you was offered it you would take it.
Plus hes not gone yet so he still a Blade

He will leave & we will be left with the likes of Doyle & Collins.....

yes, that's a fair point. However, I wasn't under a contract at 18 years old. He apparantly is!

The meeting with DW is supposed to be today and the latest reports coming out of Fulham suggested Slew was a Hughes target so that may have changed now he's gone.

Believe nothing 'til it happens I guess.

If he's out of contract in 12 months it'll be difficult to keep him. How much would the compensation money be? Is it always lower than most regular deals?

Did he? When? Where? What did he say?

A period of radio silence will now follow.

Can't say I remember it but it seems that the more people say it, the more people want to believe it to suit their agenda and the more it becomes a 'fact'.

What he has said is that he did play for and manage them but has played for and managed many other clubs. He's from Wigan so has no particular affiliation and it's not as if he had his most successful spell with them.

A lot of people seem to remember him saying something on the lines of he despises everything to do with this side of the city whilst playing for them, (some don't frequent forums or listen to RS, yet they still have a vague recollection of him saying it) even Keith Edwards mentioned him saying something, but he rightly added that it was when he was a young naive player at the time.

young player, old player makes no odds. If he said he despises our club and fans way back then, then imo, he has no place at our club.

However, there is no proof he said it, even tho my wendy m8 is adamant it was said.

What I will say is tho that whilst Wilson has dismissed this allegation on his first day in charge, saying it is a fabrication, I can't recall anyone, either myself, or people I've asked, Wilson denying he said it at the original time of the accusation

Selective memory I suppose?

Ah but, Kev never heard him say it and if Kev never heard him say it, Wilson never said it! Right?

I've yet to see any evidence that he ever said it. Apart from that it suits some posters attacks on Wilson.

A bit like saying we spoke to Hill really.

OK back to Jordan Slew if he was a Hughes target then that is a good thing because i can imagine Martin Jol going for Foreign players, cheaper with lower wages. Hope i am right on that because i can really see slew getting 25+ goals in league 1.

Didnt Jol sign Lennon, Dawson, Huddlestone etc etc?

Are you saying Bob that we didn't speak to Hill? If the answer is no, then one has to ask why not?

As I've pointed out before, it was the Yorkshire Post who reported that Hill had been interviewed for the job.
I can't see any reason why they would make it up.

"McCabe is still tempted to turn to Wilson ahead of both Mark Robins and Keith Hill, who also reached the final stage of the interviewing process."

if theres no one at the helm at Fulham whos putting in these supposed bids

you ring fulham up and ask to speak to the manager , tell em your Slews agent
bet they say whos Slew

Its speculation I dont believe it is true. The truth will out no doubt but Im sticking to my guns on this one.

Which sends 99% of the readership into Sothall's arms.:D

The Sheffield Star are also reporting that Hill nearly got the job. You originally said the only source you'd seen was a poster on here with an agenda.
It's now been stated as fact by two local newspapers. I'm not sure why you're so convinced he wasn't considered. He was an obvious candidate from the start.
If those three weren't on the shortlist, I'd be interested to know who was. Any inside info you'd like to share?

Seriously, you are using a James Shield article to support your opinion. Do either of them confirm we interviewed either of them?
Wouldn't we have had to ask permission from Rochdale?
