I do like how Slav has very high expectations, more so then us fans with what he expects from the players. It wasn't a perfect performance yesterday but no way am I ever going to complain over a 3-1 win!!

Seen a lot of similar comments. Yes of course it's great that we got the win and we all enjoyed it but we shouldn't just ignore the negatives. We were slow and sloppy on the ball. Hull carved through our defence quite easily to get the goal and then the offside goal. We were lucky to get that very marginal decision. If Hull had pulled another back with plenty of time left, we would have been skating on very thin ice. The transition to the new system isn't going to be easy. Yes we got 7 points from the past 3 games but Hull and Peterborough are arguably the two weakest teams in the league. Bournemouth at home on Oct 2 will be a better indicator of how far we are from being a top six side

Surely we can't be picking Hourihane over Norwood simply for corner delivery. Not seen enough of Hourihane yet but my initial impression is he's a downgrade on Norwood. Norwoods range of passing looks superior and I think he was unlucky to miss out yesterday after his midweek performance. If we're inviting the high press Norwood's the best player in the team at receiving and releasing the ball under pressure.

Until the ball gets turned over and hes asked to defend and does f*ck all except point, when we defend were effectively down to 10 men.

If we’re playing 4 at the back then Norrington Davis needs replacing with Robinson , who has taken some terrible abuse , until Stevens is fit .

Osborne is so energetic but is so inconsistent and we will never get promoted until Slav gets the two wingers he wants

Poor George - brilliant wing back but so stunted at full back

Brewster - oh dear - never will do it for us he’s totally terrible and …..can’t be bothered to finish any more comments about him

CH dropped two corners on the mark but was terrible otherwise -

Slav will get it right but as many of us seem to think will need much more than this season

pls pls let Berger get fit and somehow keep MGW for the season

The season is a marathon not a sprint. As The Smiths once sang “some wins are scrappier than others”.

A 3-1 win away from home is fine by me. We are on an upward trajectory and there is still room for improvement.

There were odd times where we got caught out but this team is like night and day compared to the crap we saw before the international break and last season.

The fact that we're scoring goals freely for the first time in a long time is the most encouraging sign that this team will be able to compete and continue to improve. Hull's biggest frailty was crosses into the box and they were punished for it, 3 times. We didn't need to do much more than that.

If we'd gone there and scraped it then I'd understand some of the gripes but we're in a rebuild, different system, different players and we've shaken the Chris Wilder shaped monkey off our backs. We've not lost for a while now and I'd expect us to turn Derby over too, particularly after their announcement which will hardly be great for morale.

Jack Robinson should be nowhere near this team unless we're incredibly desperate.

For me,Slav is fire fighting and will be for the foreseeable future,the ruins of last season to sort,the unbalanced squad,players he doesn't want,players he needs to get more out of than we have seen to date,medium term and recurring injuries to players,a mixed bag transfer window,and he wants to implement a new style,all while the need to get results and look half decent while getting them,plus the fact that he is having to rely a lot on loan players,one of whom he could lose in a few months,the guy is doing ok.

There are posters who are comparing our out of position left sided centre half with unflushed waste that can’t get through the u bend of a toilet and can’t wait to hammer our ‘quarter back’ midfielder who honestly gives everything for the cause and has and still will play a big role in our season - imho

Brewster hasn’t worked out so far but I haven’t lost faith in the young lad as yet. He will continue to get my support and I still believe he will come good.

Norwood - the term has been used by quite a few pundits and I personally think it suits him

I don’t think the term quarter back has any place in actual Football, but that’s obviously off topic .

I think Norwood has been made a bit of a scapegoat in all fairness. His form/confidence has taken a dip.
